Wow! where would we start? Muba - a great and knowledgeable guide with a tremendous sense of humour, Jackson a terrific cook and again a great sense of humour. Stumbling upon elephants whilst walking to the viewpoint at the Serengeti park gates.

We were of course expecting to enjoy seeing the wildlife, but our week's holiday provided much more than that. The Porini camps we stayed at were wonderful - eco-friendly, lovely setting on private conservancies, employing people from the local Massai communities.

There were so many memorable moments - the experience of seeing lions hunting at Maasai Mara, and also seeing lion cubs, will stay with us forever.

Most memorable? Following the leopard going through the thick reeds of the dried riverbed... Being in the very middle of the 400 buffalos’ herd moving to another grazing field... Two gracious cheetah males crossing the tar road...

It was the most comfortable camping I have ever experienced. The tents were bigger than our bedroom, the food was incredible and the hot, private in-tent camp shower so refreshing. But we were truly out in the wild and could hear baboons near our camp and find elephant dung behind the tents.

Most memorbale was almost walking into a zebra on my way to the toilet one night! The camping was challenging for me, but it was worth it to hear animals at night. 5 stars.

Another magical site would be on the first dawn game drive we did and managed to see a pride of lions basking in the morning light, a cheetah prowling the plains and then the elusive leopard lazing halfway up a tree!

Having an elephant peer through the door of our banda was quite a surprise, but my favourite part was meeting lots of locals and learning bits of Swahili and tribal dialect...Tempted to give it five stars! Probably joint first with a long trip to Belize.

Brilliant - probably the best we've been on for organisation and experiences...Safari in Selous out of the mountain lodge and visit to Kisake school were highlights.

When we descended into the rift valley, we came across a family of nine Giraffes. I had not been to Africa before, and this was the moment that it sunk in what I was about to experience.

It was our first visit to Africa. I can now understand why so many people have a love affair with Africa! It is impossible vast and breathtaking. The people were friendly and welcoming. It's a surprising land of contrasts.

Kruger National Park was the most exciting - we saw absolutely everything there was to see - Rhino, Hippo, Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Crocodiles, Hyenas, Baboons, Water Buffalo, Impala, Wart Hogs, Kudu, Springbok and Birds too numerous to mention.

The most memorable part of the holiday was spotting the leopard. We would have missed it & driven on, but the leaders saw it & we went back. We had to be patient because the leopard hid in a culvert, but eventually came out.
