We travelled a great distance, saw tons of great scenery and was able to do a variety of activities so I can't really say that one thing stands out however Dawson City (both times) was great.
Bring a bug hat/jacket and some good bug spray. Bring a variety of warm clothes (e.g. mitts, wool hat...) even in the summer months - you never know what the temperature will be like. It really is an active tour and to be ready for this. You do no have to be an athlete... (more)Mary Ellen Ruddell
So many, the beauty of Denali National Park, the remoteness and serenity of Maclaren River, the beauty of Valdez Bay and the fabulous team guides Natalie and Aaron bit if I must single out one experience it would be the visit to Kennecott in Wrangell/St. Elias National Park and the hike to and on the Root Glacier and the subsequent ice climbing. There were many great aspects to the holiday - scenery, atmosphere, wildlife, tour guides, travelling companions, camp fir - the most memorable was sighting humpback whales whilst kayaking.
Get involved and keep your eyes open.
Apart from flying to get there and travelling around by bus there was very little environmental impact
