Bush camp safari holidays

A choice of bush camp safaris from specialist operators. Modern bush camps are often semi-permanent luxury tents on raised platforms with high beamed thatched roofs. The great thing about these safaris is your proximity to nature and the wildlife – lie in your bed at night with the noises of the African night in your ears.

Tanzania safari and cultural tour
Wow! where would we start? Muba - a great and knowledgeable guide with a tremendous sense of humour, Jackson a terrific cook and again a great sense of humour. Stumbling upon elephants whilst walking to the viewpoint at the Serengeti park gates. (more)

Big game safari in Kenya
The game drives. Our whole point in going to Africa was seeing wildlife close up, and it was abundant. Both the Porini Camps on their private conservancies, and the Masai Mara National Preserve offered spectacular game viewing. We couldn't have asked for more.  (more)

Tailormade safari in Kenya
The most amazing holiday I have ever had. Like staying in 5* hotels but only better. Can't wait to go back...Most memorable was having elephants feed right outside our camp, visiting a traditional Maasai Village and watching a lion chase a Zebra on a night drive. (more)

Amboseli luxury safari camp
I felt this holiday was a win-win way of supporting African people. We got to see one of the most beautiful countries on earth and gained an insight into Kenyan culture, the local people gained employment and an incentive to protect the game life. (more)

Big cat safari in Kenya
The most memorable part of the holiday was the private walks with the Masaai and night drives in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy where we saw lions hunting & mating, a leopard on a stroll, porcupines, springhares, hyenas, etc. (more)

Great Wildebeest Migration safari in Kenya and Tanzania
The best way to see the Wild life in Eastern Africa and the best way to go on Safari. If trekking was possible through the Masai Mara this would have been the only better way to see these amazing animals. For obvious reasons trekking is not possible and going in a car is the second best option. (more)
From US $3287 - US $3577 excluding flights
Saadani Safari accommodation
Visiting the nearby village was a real eye-opener and an experience I could not have obtained any other way in a short holiday of three weeks in Tanzania. The Barbours were most welcoming and kind and I felt part of the family. (more)
From US $220 per person per night
Selous Reserve bush camp safari, Tanzania
We haven't done a safari before, but this one felt special. Just the two of us, three nights at a private camp they set up in the middle of the park, a flexible itinerary. Very warmly recommended. (more)

Zambia safari in South Luangwa
The most exciting was the gorge swing & white river rafting in Victoria Falls as well as the night game drives following lions stalking prey in the Okavango. (more)
From £3220 excluding flights
Kenya luxury camp safari
The most exciting part was being totally alone (or feeling like it) in the vast expanse of the Maasai Mara's rolling plains. (more)
From US $4315 excluding flights
Johannesburg to Livingstone tour
The Chobe NP river cruise and the adrenaline activities in Vic Falls were the most memorable. (more)
