Every part of every day was special in some way. Of course seeing really wild animals in the really wilds the best bit. (more)Jill Jesson

Inca Trail & Amazon holidays
The Inca Trail was a challenge...you need to be fit. (more)Christopher Innerd
The most exciting part of my holiday was walking through the Sun Gate after climbing the last 50 super steep steps of the Inca Trail. We were so happy to have done it. (more)Julie Fahrner-Schibli
There were some many memorable moments - from watching Machu Picchu arise out of the mist to spotting Giant Otters in the lake in the Amazon. The whole holiday was exciting. (more)Misbah Arif

Alaska holiday, classic camping tour
Best holiday that our family of four has ever had. (more)Howard Robinson

Alaska adventure holiday, salmon run
This is the best holiday my partner and I have ever been lucky enough to have. We thoroughly enjoyed it and it exceeded our dreams. If anyone is thinking of seeing Alaska and considering camping, this would be the tour to choose. (more)John Cracknell
Difficult to pick one part as the whole trip was memorable. Alaska is such a scenic destination. Camping brings you closer to nature and the wild camping was in isolated, awe inspiring places. I particularly enjoyed the sea kayaking, around beautiful islands with sea otters everywhere. (more)David Conway
It was an exceptional holiday, on all levels. I would not hesitate to recommend this trip. It's a small local company (which for me was also a decisive argument), they really know their stuff, everything works out perfectly. What you get to see is really unique and unforgettable. You'll bring back wonderful pictures and mostly, great memories and funny stories to tell back home! (more)Bettina Bernhardt
From US $3200 - US $3390 excluding flights
Alaska and Yukon classic camping tour
Memorable parts? We travelled a great distance, saw tons of great scenery and was able to do a variety of activities so I can't really say that one thing stands out however Dawson City (both times) was great. Tips? Bring a bug hat/jacket and some good bug spray. Bring a variety of warm clothes (e.g. mitts, wool hat...) even in the summer months - you never know what the temperature will be like. It really is an active tour and to be ready for this. You do no have to be an athlete... (more)Mary Ellen Ruddell

Small group camping holiday in America
Memorable parts? Each new place visited on the itinerary. The variety was brilliant. Tips? Check the age range of your fellow travellers, if you are not among the first to book. I was with an excellent group ranging from 23 to 63! Local benefits? Yes, certainly. Recycling was handled extremely well and local people were used in the one place where it was possible and mattered, i.e. Monument Valley and the Navajo Indians. Overall rating? Excellent. (more)Audrey Nice
From £1559 - £1679 excluding flights
Serengeti Trail, Kenya & Tanzania safari
Memorable parts? Wildlife drives. Local benefits? Yes. Overall rating? Excellent. (more)Anne Brautigam
From £1000 - £1155 excluding flights
Cape Town to Victoria Falls small group camping safari
Memorable parts? Every day was a different wonder but the two days wild camping at the Okavanga Delta were really special. Tips? Be prepared for very early starts and not much relaxing times. Local benefits? Yes, local guides were used in a number of locations but obviously driving such long distances is not exactly environmentally friendly. Overall rating? Excellent. Tanzania camping safari
Memorable parts? Seeing the great migration, thousands of wildebeest crossing a river while making a "snoring" sound. We stayed their watching them for several hours. Wonderful. Tips? Think about the fact that you want to go camping or prefer staying in a lodge. The bathroom-facilities on the camping sites are basic. Local benefits? Our guide was really concerned with respecting the natural habits and behaviours of the animals and he always put this before trying to fulfil... (more)Suzy Mentens
From £1375 - £1690 excluding flights
Petra and Wadi Rum trekking holiday
Memorable parts? Walking in the desert and the wide open space and peace and quiet. Somehow the actual rhythm of the walking was almost mesmeric and I felt I could walk for hours Tips? Big hat, suntan lotion, water 'platypus' to go in your day pack, good camera and a willingness to get on with anything that was put in front of you. Local benefits? Not sure - although local people involved in 'jeeping' our stuff around. We certainly left desert as deserted as when we arrived.... (more)Jill Marquis
From £1199 - £1499 including UK flights
Canadian Rockies & wilderness walking holiday
Memorable parts? Hiking the Iceline trail in Yoho National Park. Seeing grizzly and black bears by the roadside. Tips? The pace of this holiday is a bit frenetic and there was very little 'down time'. Days started early and every minute was taken up with hiking, cooking for the group (of 16 in our case) and washing up, putting up or taking down tents and travelling between destinations, but, despite the hard work, it was one of the best holidays I've ever had. Truly fabulous group... (more)Christabel Owens

Peru holiday, Inca Trail, Cusco & Lake Titicaca
Inca trail and Machu Picchu was the most memorable part of the holiday (more)Mandy Risso
The Andean explorer train ride from Cusco to Lake Titicaca was an excellent way to see many aspects of Peru from the city suburbs through the slums then farming communities, through the middle of market towns and past the spectacular backdrop of the Andes. (more)Jane Lines
The most lasting memory will probably be our stay on Amantani Island on Lake TitiKaka. We stayed with a family without water and electricity and it was both enjoyable as well as being an eye opener. (more)Chris Simmons
From £2155 excluding flights
Adelaide to Alice Springs tour, Australia
Memorable parts? The wonderful walks -- canyons, gorges, other natural features -- that revealed to us the natural riches of the Outback, from birds and other creatures to the land itself. Also... the bush knowledge and sensitivity of our leader, Steve. He added immeasurably to our appreciation, and therefore our pleasure. Tips? Probably more important for Europeans than Canadians or Americans (who live in big-scale countries): realize emotionally, not just intellectually, that once... (more)Penny Williams
From AU $2450 - AU $2495 excluding flights
Rocky Mountain solar eclipse and wildlife tour, USA
Memorable parts? Hearing and seeing wolves in Yellowstone Park Tips? Nothing - everything was easy Local benefits? Not particularly, but it didn't harm them either Overall rating? Great (more)Karen Carrington

Inca Trail tour
Very good. We were well looked after. (more)Janet Macleod
It was a great trip and we really enjoyed it. Machu Picchu was beautiful.....especially when the cloud lifted!!! (more)Nick Lewis

Camping safari in Southern Africa
Memorable parts? Most memorable moments were the sunset cruise and land safari at Chobe National Park in Botswana. Also camping at Elephant Sands where you can see elephants at a waterhole for hours. Tips? By all means go to southern Africa but do NOT book with this holiday provider. Before I booked I asked about what vehicle would be used on this trip. I was told about their great safari truck but for Game Trails both camping and accommodation trips they only use a minivan. It was... (more)Nancy Wiesenfeld
From £1250 excluding flights
First Nation hiking tours in Canada
Memorable parts? The location, hosts and the routes they planned. Tips? The routes / hikes are challenging, the lodge is very comfortable but remote. Very eco-conscious....so be mindful of that. Be ready for all types of weather..from hot sun to snow. Local benefits? Yes - very much so. (more)Jane Cayley
From CA $1096 - CA $1246 excluding flights
