The entire experience was an absolute blast. The kindness of the staff - the peaceful location - the delicious food - the interesting history of the place- the wonderful antique furniture - the eccentric fellow travellers.... This holiday was fabulous - it was extremely relaxing being so far from civilisation. It was possible to walk all day and see hardly anybody. The food was excellent (huge quantities) and so was the local wine, beer and brandy (also plentiful!) (more)Every morning we opened the curtains to the most beautiful scene of the mountains and alpine meadows. The Romanian Carpathians are untouched and covered with wildlife and wild flowers.
