Belize wildlife conservation holiday
It was a very positive experience being in a country that treasures the natural environment and it is government policy to protect at least 40% of the land for nature. I felt that after 3 weeks I had only scratched the surface of what there is to find out about Belize and definitely plan on returning. (more)Cathy Bisset
Once in a life time experience...meeting all the wild animals was the most exciting part of the trip. (more)Kerry Sedman

Costa Rica wildlife holiday
Fantastic holiday. The wildlife and natural landscapes are amazing and worth the trip alone. For the sheer scope of diversity, colour and experiences this trip is unrivalled. (more)Lindsay (Mr) Challoner
One of the best hoildays we've had. A highlight was Seeing a rhinoceros beetle the size of a hamster! (more)Keith Valentine
Saw lots of animals, birds, plants and butterflies. Thankfully did not see the tarantula. Seeing sloths close up, active but moving in slow motion was great as was seeing little turtles hatching and running to the sea. Saw lots of birds and had a very knowledgeable guide to help us. The quetzel fly past was pretty good! (more)Rebecca Tunstall

Costa Rica self drive holiday, natural history
Memorable parts? There were so many highlights - and part of the pleasure was the variety of different experiences as we travelled around; more like six short mini-holidays all packed together. The very best moment was kayaking in Tortuguero: just four of us and a guide exploring the rainforest by river at dawn. The cries of the howler monkeys echoed across the morning mist, and we got up close to crocodiles, turtles and incredible water birds. Priceless! Tips? Self-drive is... (more)Simon Andrewes

Costa Rica multisport holiday
Memorable parts? The time spent in the jungle rafting down the river, staying in jungle lodges and trekking to nearby waterfalls. Tips? Don't book the extra adrenaline pack before you go. It's better to pick and choose your activities when you're there. Local benefits? Local transport was occasionally used and the sharing of rooms reduced the environmental impact Overall rating? Really enjoyable and a good variety of activities. Not too much travelling as well (more)James Mead

Belize marine conservation internship
Memorable parts? 1. Snorkeling with the whale sharks. 2. Good diving instruction to next level of qualification. 3. Chance to do conservation surveys as something more than that which you usually do on a regular dive holiday. 4. chance to dive in Caribbean at dive sites that are not crowded, never were there other dive boats at the sites we dived, thus only 4 to 8 divers at the site from the boat. Tips? 1. To the extent your baggage allowance allows it, take items identified including... (more)Simon Timms

Tailormade holiday to Costa Rica
Fantastic! Our time at El Remanso lodge in the Osa Penninsla it was a super place and had some wonderful wildlife sightings there. (more)Jane Fowles
On an early morning bird-watching trail with a local guide, we were lucky enough to see 5 of these beautiful birds... feeding on wild avocados. We sat for an hour as the sun began to rise, driving away the cold night air as the clouds rolled up the forested mountain side. Quite amazing. (more)Paul Smith
This was a wonderful trip to Costa Rica with many memorable moments. I am reluctant to choose a 'most memorable' one, but waking up to the sound of howler monkeys at 5am and walking down from Lapa Rios to the deserted (except for the white faced capuchins and scarlet macaws) Pacific beach takes some beating. (more)David Oakley

Central America overland tour
Memorable parts? Roatan, one of the bay Islands of Honduras, was beautiful and the diving was fantastic, and I'll probably never forget the chicken buses! Tips? Mexico, Belize and Guatemala holiday
Memorable parts? The morning spent at Tikal in Guatemala was excellent. This activity is definitely best done in the early morning light as it gets very warm and less pleasant to walk in the jungle after 10am. Tips? This is quite a short tour for the distance covered. I would suggest looking at tours staying at least 2 nights in most places in order to really get a sense of the country and culture Local benefits? Somewhat. The use of local transport in some instances certainly... (more)Diana Urbina

Nicaragua walking tour holiday
Memorable parts? The beauty of the country and the people. Some of the most warm and friendly people I have ever come across. Very safe in the areas we travelled and absolutely amazing art for very little money. Loved it!! Tips? The only really extremely negative aspect of the trip was the experience with American Airlines, flying through Miami. Avoid this if humanly possible. People travelling to Nicaragua are either locals or family of locals bringing much desired American goods.... (more)Rene McRogers
