Auvergne holiday accommodation, France
We really enjoyed the week in the Auvergne it is very unspoilt and it is an area you can "get away from it all"....The area is ideal for walkers or most kinds of outdoor activities. The quietness and natural beauty of Mont Dore in November was the most memorable part of the holiday (more)Mary Cherian

Excellent and I would definitely go back. (more)Catherine Sutherland
Arriving at the accommodation and watching the sun set over the medina from the terrace. Stumbling through the holiday in broken French (although most Moroccans speak several languages). Exploring the souks and markets. Eating the most amazing Moroccan food (personal favourite: kefta et oeuf tajine). (more)Harry Bunnell
This is a peaceful and quirky haven that is looked after by two locals; Naima and Hakim. It was great to feel the warmth of their welcome and to benefit from their guidance around the wonderful craziness that is Essaouira. (more)Dick Oldfield

Memorable parts? Being in the countryside, near the sea. Tips? Very restful and quiet place. Local benefits? Yes. Overall rating? Excellent. (more)Val Horsman
From £290 - £950 per cottage per week (sleeps 2-6)
Isle of Mull b&b accommodation, Scotland
Memorable parts? Making sure that I drove slowly enough NOT to drive into some of the sheep, cattle, deer that like to sit and ruminate on the roads! The glorious autumn sun on the turning leaves. Not New England, but very beautiful. Ambling along the white sandy beaches and having them to myself, more or less! Tips? Make sure that you add in travelling time from your accommodation to the ferry. Ensure that you don't have to get up at some awful, un-holiday like time of the morning... (more)Sonia Jones

Lesvos holiday accommodation, Greece
Memorable parts? Just being able to completely relax and read and enjoy ourselves. The sea is beautiful and clear. The whole atmosphere of the place is very chilled. Batteries definitely fully recharged. Tips? Vatera, Lesvos is a place to go if you want a completely chilled 'do nothing' kind of holiday (which we did). It was perfect for our needs because it enabled us to wind down, read a lot, swim a lot, and not a lot else. If you like a holiday with things to do or lots of exploring... (more)Emily Hunka

This was the perfect place to have our honeymoon. It was the most beautiful setting to relax and unwind after our big day and we had such a fantastic time. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone! (more)David Snook
The food was dreary and the spa closed. The mountains were beautiful but walking in them wasn't so easy without a map. Since I was very tired it wasn't too bad just sitting reading in the garden. (more)Carolyn Brown

Crieff accommodation in Perthshire, Scotland
Memorable parts? The lovely spacious, attractive room. The breakfasts and packed lunches. The hospitality of Katy and David. Tips? If possible eat at the accommodation. Crieff did not seem to have many restaurants that served good quality food and less so if you are a vegetarian like my partner. Local benefits? Yes - we ate and did some basic shopping in Crieff and took the bus to Perth as advised by our host’s literature. Overall rating? I really enjoyed staying with... (more)Steve Brown

From €50 per room per night
Minho B&B accommodation, Portugal
Memorable parts? The arrival itself was memorable in the way the owner gave us a comprehensive tour of the farm, encouraging us at every step to make the most out of the farm and use the produce. It is clear that for the family that owns and runs the farm, this is much more than mere business. For them this is sharing of values and a way of life. Children are treated with attention and respect, their questions are answered in a serious and empowering way. While they are told of caution they... (more)Sunoor Verma

Italian Riviera eco village accommodation
We woke up every day ready for another day in paradise. It surpassed any holiday experience I have ever had or could possibly imagine. (more)Dawn Austin Locke
A few km north of the overdeveloped and traffic-infested coastal strip that is the Italian Riviera, just over the French border and within spitting distance of exclusive Monaco, an irregularly shaped bastion rises from a steep south-facing slope of the beautiful and tranquil Bevera valley – it is the eco-community. (more)Rob Stuart
The people and surroundings at Torri Superiore were absolutely wonderful. (more)David Bettoney

Trevor and Debbie were extremely helpful and gave us tips of places to go to, train timetables, weather forecasts, they came to collect us at the train station and helped us with anything we needed, we wouldn't have seen half the things we saw if it hadn't been for them. Belize jungle B&B
Memorable parts? There were so many memorable moments that it is hard to pick one in particular. The way we were looked after was amazing, a day trip out to some of the cayes proved to be well worth while and flying over the jungle in a 12 seater plane was high on the wow factor. Tips? I would suggest that anyone traveling to Belize does a bit of research into the area that they will be visiting, there's quite a bit to see and do. If you're lucky enough to be staying at this accommodation... (more)Jim Kane
