The traditional barbecue Nick and Dasha have prepared to us with Czech sausages coming from local farmers was really great. Being at the fireplace outside each one of us learning how to get the sausages at their best, is still one of the remarkable moments of our holidays, even for Manuel (our 7 year old son). (more)Pedro Moiteiro
The skiing was a highlight – downhill at the resorts and Nick’s impromptu cross-country skiing lesson which was good enough to set us off on a 8km cross-country track the next day. Marvellous! (more)David O Connell

Memorable parts? Scenic and serene, our stay was idyllic. Aside from the beautiful location, our hosts - Trevor and Debbie Benton - made us feel so comfortable and welcome that it felt like home. We stayed during the Christmas holiday and the Bentons included our family in their Christmas Eve celebrations. Trevor showed us some great ski trails at the nearby ski area and, overall, we could not have asked for a more peaceful and relaxing holiday. Tips? This is a terrific four season... Lesvos holiday accommodation, Greece
Memorable parts? Just being able to completely relax and read and enjoy ourselves. The sea is beautiful and clear. The whole atmosphere of the place is very chilled. Batteries definitely fully recharged. Tips? Vatera, Lesvos is a place to go if you want a completely chilled 'do nothing' kind of holiday (which we did). It was perfect for our needs because it enabled us to wind down, read a lot, swim a lot, and not a lot else. If you like a holiday with things to do or lots of exploring... (more)Emily Hunka

Umbria B&B farmstay accommodation

Isle of Mull b&b accommodation, Scotland
Memorable parts? Making sure that I drove slowly enough NOT to drive into some of the sheep, cattle, deer that like to sit and ruminate on the roads! The glorious autumn sun on the turning leaves. Not New England, but very beautiful. Ambling along the white sandy beaches and having them to myself, more or less! Tips? Make sure that you add in travelling time from your accommodation to the ferry. Ensure that you don't have to get up at some awful, un-holiday like time of the morning... (more)Sonia Jones

Essaouira apartments in Morocco
Arriving at the accommodation and watching the sun set over the medina from the terrace. Stumbling through the holiday in broken French (although most Moroccans speak several languages). Exploring the souks and markets. Eating the most amazing Moroccan food (personal favourite: kefta et oeuf tajine). (more)Harry Bunnell

Luxury Morocco accommodation near the Atlas Mountains
This was the perfect place to have our honeymoon. It was the most beautiful setting to relax and unwind after our big day and we had such a fantastic time. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone! (more)David Snook
The food was dreary and the spa closed. The mountains were beautiful but walking in them wasn't so easy without a map. Since I was very tired it wasn't too bad just sitting reading in the garden. (more)Carolyn Brown
The most memorable part was walking with a local guide in the Atlas mountains and being shown various salt mines... (more)Dorothee Moore

Crieff accommodation in Perthshire, Scotland
Memorable parts? The lovely spacious, attractive room. The breakfasts and packed lunches. The hospitality of Katy and David. Tips? If possible eat at the accommodation. Crieff did not seem to have many restaurants that served good quality food and less so if you are a vegetarian like my partner. Local benefits? Yes - we ate and did some basic shopping in Crieff and took the bus to Perth as advised by our host’s literature. Overall rating? I really enjoyed staying with... (more)Steve Brown
From £30 - £36 per person per night

Most memorable? Staying five days at the farm with my husband - taking a cooking class together, meeting new people at the dinning area, getting a tour of the organic vegetable gardens, seeing the animals on the farm. (more)Marcia Brenta
The best part was undoubtedly the food. Practically everything on your plate comes from the estate, whether it be pork from their rare breed pigs or wild boar, vegetables from the garden or olive oil from the olive groves. (more)Molly Slaughter
