Vietnam family holiday
Memorable parts? Walking in the hills in North Vetnam, really connected with the people off the tourist trails. Stunning. Tips? Be prepared for simple accommodation and reasonably hard walking. Although not very long walks, about 15km in a day it can get quite hot and hilly. Wish I was fitter. Local benefits? Yes, staying with families and local businesses is very important to the development of the tourist industry. Always ate in small restaurants. Overall rating? Very... (more)Angela Reid

Morocco small group adventure tour
Memorable parts? I loved the night in the Sahara and travelling through the High Atlas Tips? There is a lot of time spent on the bus so bring a good book. Also remember the driver sees this landscape all the time and while it is extraordinary to us to him it's not so shout stop when you need to and get off to admire and photograph. Local benefits? I feel it may have had some benefit by bringing income into some of the more remote areas but I don't feel I spent enough time... (more)Jane Matthews

Perfect!....The best thing about the holiday was having no internet connection & very little mobile coverage. It made it a total break away & allowed us to appreciate everything about the location of cottage & the amazing surrounding area. It was a complete break away which is what a holiday should be. Memorable parts? The wonderful food and gentle people! Tips? Sri Lanka is amazing, but our tour operator provided a very discounting service. Local benefits? Not sure Overall rating? Memorable parts? The terracotta warriors at Xi'an and the Great Wall. Cherry, our guide although very young, was dedicated and gave us great tips and help when choosing restaurants and outings. Our group integrated very well and everyone was on time for going places. Tips? Travel light, but do take toilet paper!! Local benefits? We certainly used local transport (busses, trains and only once taxis). Overall rating? Most enjoyable. The only thing that didn't work out... (more)Sheila Taylor

Memorable parts? It was all great. Temples in Bagan, boat ride and views over Lake Inle. Tips? Much of Myanmar great for family travelling. Comfortable hotels, great food. Warm welcome. Shark conservation in South Africa
Memorable parts? My last cage dive. We had one large female shark who did a slow pass right next to the cage. You could see her blue eye moving and focusing as she had a good look at what was going on inside our cage. Tips? I would recommend adding a few extra days on either side of the project so that you can explore Cape Town and do any additional activities that you haven't yet had the chance to fit in. The longer you are there, the longer your "to do" list will get. Local... (more)Annabel Marriott

Family volunteering with turtles in Costa Rica
Memorable parts? This project and experience was absolutely amazing. As a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 children, 8 & 10 yrs old) we decided it was important to not just have a holiday but to do something that would play a part in making a different to our environment for the future. Our 8 year old son, in particular had an interest in Turtles so we decided this would be a great project to work on. We weren't disappointed.
