The guides in each city were excellent, and the group guide Lucy was just tremendous - excellent ambassador for both the tour operator and China! The kids really enjoyed it and got to see some things that exposed them how other people live just to survive.
(more)It was all good! The relaxation break offered us a variety of activities, as well as the opportunity to just be restful. The small size of the group meant it was possible to get to know the other guests quite well and there were many interesting conversations. (more)There is so much to remember about this holiday; we really enjoyed the mixed scenery of forest, countryside and coastal, we loved being able to have an active holiday that the whole family (children & adults) enjoyed, the hospitality we received at Casa Dos Torres was excellent, and it was exciting discovering gorgeous tiny old Spanish villages, packed with charm and very yummy tapas.
(more)The peace and tranquility of the cortija and surrounding area. Being able to start all walks from the cortija meant that we did not have to drive. The accommodation was authentic and entirely comfortable. The owners were available and helpful if required but recognised their guests needs for their own space and freedom.

The walking was varied, the guide/s were knowledgeable and supportive, the food was simply wonderful, and my walking companions were friends by the end of the week. (more)It was excellent! The pilates teacher, equipment, chef, bedroom - everything is super top quality. (more)We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks... The knowledge and hospitality of the tour leaders, Suraj and Ravindra, made this a particularly memorable trip - by the end, we really felt more like we were with friends than on a 'tour'. (more)One of the most memorable parts of my trip was a snorkelling excursion along the Golfo di Orosei. Along the way, as we sailed past all the stunning beaches and caves, Cinzia gave us plenty of information about the geography and nature along the coast, but all in a very humorous and fun way. Once in the crystal clear water we were lucky enough to see a couple of weird and wonderful creatures. (more)We had a wonderful week- we were only sorry that we had to return home before the village fiesta which takes place next week end and for which we would love to have stayed. Maybe next year?
(more)Highlights included the short trek to Tiger's Nest monastery in Paro, Bhutan, seeing students at work in the handicrafts school in Thimphu and having an elephant bath in Chitwan National Park, Nepal. (more)The mountains, local environment and seeing an Eagle were the highlights...Self catering cottage looks very comfortable, we had a tour of the cottage, but stayed in the hotel which was equally good. This really was the best holiday we have ever had, we have struggled in the past to find somewhere that everyone enjoys which is difficult with young active children, but this accommodation and Ithaca really did mean we relaxed and enjoyed time with them whilst they also had a great time. None of us wanted to leave and we will definitely go back.

Tochni was one of the most beautiful villages in the area. It suited us because it was very quiet. Renovating old buildings provides an immediate atmosphere to the holiday and is much better than staying in a new apartment. (more)Hiding out from the rain in a local families nice warm ger being given homemade yaks cheese and yak yoghurt vodka was the most memorable part.
