The most memorable part of my holiday was sleeping out in the desert at night with the Bedouin people - games and songs round the fire, amazing stars, beautiful sunrise, very peaceful...one of the best holidays I've been on - a complete break. Hard to judge as it was all so brilliant, but probably the felucca trip and diving in Dahab were the most memorable. The sights are amazing and the people friendly, who could ask for more on a fab holiday! (more)I really enjoyed the felucca trip between Aswan and Edfu, but would have liked an extra day. I was really impressed by Abu Simbel, and the really deep tomb we saw at the Valley of the Kings make the others there pale in comparison. (more)
Most memorable were going inside the Great Pyramid, sailing down (up) the Nile in the Dahabiya, Hadeel, instead of the big diesel monsters they have for most tourists, El Tahrir square and the bazaar. The staff on the Hadeel were fabulous. (more)
Our tour was organised brilliantly. We felt safe at all times and the guides were knowledgeable. The 3 day cruise on the Nile was the best part (more)Seeing the ancient Egyptian sites that are so old and so famous, to actually see them in real life. And to be able to see so much in a few days without feeling rushed!
(more)Most memorable moments were scuba diving the beautifully unspoiled reefs of Ras Abu Galum, stargazing at night while sipping Bedouin tea, loving the wonderful camels and letting your mind remain silent while taking in the beautifully stark and wild scenery of South Sinai.
