The most memorable part of my holiday was sleeping out in the desert at night with the Bedouin people - games and songs round the fire, amazing stars, beautiful sunrise, very peaceful...one of the best holidays I've been on - a complete break.

We had a number of local guides showing us around places such as Elephantine Island as well as several stays with local families which were fantastic

The highlight of course was swimming with wild dolphins out in a protected reef in the middle of beautiful clear blue sea. Beyond that though the location, the food, the helpfulness of the staff, the accommodation and the attention to detail were all excellent.

Most memorable? I think the Pyramids at Giza and the paintings in the tomb of Ramses I, or perhaps it was the gold mask of Tutankamun, or was it the statue of Ramses II at Memphis... it was always a jaw-dropping moment at each place we visited.

We have had an excellent holiday... The resort at Shagra on the Red Sea coast in Egypt is definitely environmentally sensitive making much of its determination to protect the local reef.

Absolutely stunned by the tombs and temples, still find it hard to grasp the scale and artistry and work that went into creating them. Absolutely superb, want to do it again, plus more.

I really enjoyed the felucca trip between Aswan and Edfu, but would have liked an extra day. I was really impressed by Abu Simbel, and the really deep tomb we saw at the Valley of the Kings make the others there pale in comparison.

The amazing sites of ancient Egyptian civilisation were very well commented and
made to come alive by our very good guides Joseph and Mohamed from the operator...Excellent, we were extremely well looked after by staff.

The Nile cruise and regular stop over points were both unique and spectacular. As someone who has travelled quite widely across the globe, Egypt offers something very different.
