This was a brilliant holiday for myself and my teenage sons. All of us have rekindled an interest in Egyptian history. There was lots to do and see, in fact never a dull moment.
(more)I enjoyed the day in Cairo. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Visiting the Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids with the camel ride was unforgettable. Snorkelling in the diving in the Red Sea is magical!!! (more)Everything about this trip was perfect! The itinerary included all of the major sites you would want to see, as well as so many other amazing and fun experiences. Our guide, Ned, was extremely personable and knowledgeable, not only about the sites, but also Egyptian culture. (more)
The most memorable part of my holiday was sleeping out in the desert at night with the Bedouin people - games and songs round the fire, amazing stars, beautiful sunrise, very peaceful...one of the best holidays I've been on - a complete break. (more)
We had a number of local guides showing us around places such as Elephantine Island as well as several stays with local families which were fantastic (more)Highlights were the hot air ballooning at sunrise, meeting the donkeys on landing to ride to the valley of the Kings & going into the tombs, all on the final day!! (more)Hard to judge as it was all so brilliant, but probably the felucca trip and diving in Dahab were the most memorable. The sights are amazing and the people friendly, who could ask for more on a fab holiday! (more)The highlight of course was swimming with wild dolphins out in a protected reef in the middle of beautiful clear blue sea. Beyond that though the location, the food, the helpfulness of the staff, the accommodation and the attention to detail were all excellent. To be able to see 3 of the 4 pharaohs light up from sun coming through, was an experience we will never forget. (more)

I was really impressed by Abu Simbel, and the really deep tomb we saw at the Valley of the Kings make the others there pale in comparison. Highly memorable. Not always for the right reasons - lots of tummy upsets and camel bum, as well as the intense heat - but also a wonderful location and more of an adventure than we had expected. Thought I'd let you know we have just returned from one of our best holidays ever... Everything was a highlight, especially the three nights in the desert where we slept under the stars and joined in with the bedouin music and songs.
