The whole Egypt holiday was memorable and each part was different and equally exciting. Spent a few days in Cairo seeing the sights - the Pyramids are phenomenal.
(more)Diving through a coral maze, just me, my husband, daughters and the wonderful Kayla from the dive centre was the most exciting part. The coral corridors were truly stunning...We all said it was the best holiday we have ever had. (more)We really enjoyed the extra time they took to show us some of the things off the beaten path and some real Egyptian food and sheesha. The Valley of the Kings was our most favourite site.
(more)There couldn't have been a better choice for a diving centre. I spent a week with the team and the whole week was memorable and exciting. The place is run by a very effective team of professionals, who go every day over the top to make their guests feel special and very well looked after. (more)Seeing the ancient Egyptian sites that are so old and so famous, to actually see them in real life. And to be able to see so much in a few days without feeling rushed!
(more)Most memorable? I think the Pyramids at Giza and the paintings in the tomb of Ramses I, or perhaps it was the gold mask of Tutankamun, or was it the statue of Ramses II at Memphis... it was always a jaw-dropping moment at each place we visited.
(more)We have had an excellent holiday... The resort at Shagra on the Red Sea coast in Egypt is definitely environmentally sensitive making much of its determination to protect the local reef. (more) The expanse of history was staggering and seeing places like the Valley of the Kings that we’ve read about forever was incredible. (more)
Most memorable were going inside the Great Pyramid, sailing down (up) the Nile in the Dahabiya, Hadeel, instead of the big diesel monsters they have for most tourists, El Tahrir square and the bazaar. The staff on the Hadeel were fabulous. (more)Most memorable were the wonderful ancient monuments we visited - in particular Queen Hatshepsut's mortuary temple - but also Luxor temple, Kom Ombo and Karnak. Also the beautiful vistas on the Nile and sailing in a felucca. (more)The Ancient Egyptian sites were amazing of course, one of our favourite moments was finding ourselves deep inside the burial chamber of Khafre's pyramid (the second large pyramid) and having the room to ourselves for a few minutes... Petra was just incredible; everyone should visit this wonderful city and landscape. Just visiting Petra justifies the travel. (more)Most memorable moments were scuba diving the beautifully unspoiled reefs of Ras Abu Galum, stargazing at night while sipping Bedouin tea, loving the wonderful camels and letting your mind remain silent while taking in the beautifully stark and wild scenery of South Sinai.
