Seeing the ancient Egyptian sites that are so old and so famous, to actually see them in real life. And to be able to see so much in a few days without feeling rushed!

The most memorable parts of the holiday were Camel ride round the Pyramids (you do have to barter hard), Abel Simbel and best of all Valley of the Kings.

Most memorable were going inside the Great Pyramid, sailing down (up) the Nile in the Dahabiya, Hadeel, instead of the big diesel monsters they have for most tourists, El Tahrir square and the bazaar. The staff on the Hadeel were fabulous.

I enjoyed seeing the ruins, particularly Leptis Magna. Expect long days of driving, and camping in the open.

Thanks for including the lodge on your website. We would never have taken the five day desert safari without it as our destination. Our highlight of the trip was taking a half day camel trip into the sand hills behind the lodge. The camel guides and camels were great.

Most memorable moments were scuba diving the beautifully unspoiled reefs of Ras Abu Galum, stargazing at night while sipping Bedouin tea, loving the wonderful camels and letting your mind remain silent while taking in the beautifully stark and wild scenery of South Sinai.

Thought I'd let you know we have just returned from one of our best holidays ever... Everything was a highlight, especially the three nights in the desert where we slept under the stars and joined in with the bedouin music and songs.

Most memorable? Climbing Mt Sinai in the very early morning to watch a spectacular sunrise, relaxing on the sun deck of our Nile cruise boat, visiting awe-inspiring tombs in the Valley of the Kings, and at the end of the holiday relaxing by the pool in Dahab and treating myself to a fantastic and much needed massage!
