Yorkshire self catering accommodation sleeping 4, England
Fantastic. Lovely cottage, very well stocked and furnished. Very friendly and helpful owner. The cottage is spacious and in bad weather you can sit and gaze into the garden and listen to the birds. (more)Helena Poldervaart
We were intrigued to stay in a house made of straw bales and to see how recycling/ reuse can be put into practice and good effect.- we were not disappointed! We found the photo albums showing the building of the house really interesting. (more)C Sharkey

Coast to coast self guided cycling holiday in England
Memorable parts? Hmmm, so many good bits. Seeing such diverse parts of the country with such different landscapes - all within 140 miles; having the route to ourselves most of the time; meeting the challenge of a three-day cycle with quite a lot of big hills; meeting lovely people; great B&Bs etc. I will definitely remember the torrential rain... Tips? If you have the time, consider taking an extra day. We underestimated how long it would take to complete each day's ride and would... (more)Biddy Walcot

Coast to coast cycling holiday in England
A very well run & organized 'supported' cycling holiday. We were taken from A to B, pointed in the right direction, fed and watered and put to bed at night. Also lots of encouragement thrown in when we needed that extra boost. (more)Ingrid Struik
A great escape from London and have booked again already! (more)Helena Posnett

Peak District self catering log cabins, England
Most memorable was how perfect the accommodation was. Clean, warm, cheery, brilliantly laid out for wheelchair users. The whirlpool bath was fab, especially when using the eco friendly toiletries supplied. Scenery wonderful, something for everyone to enjoy. (more)Naomi Dunn
The welcoming, warmth of the owners and the cottage as we stepped in out of the cold. We loved the views offered from all sides. (more)Rahila Hussain
The most memorable part of our holiday was the peace & tranquility and the great hospitality from the owners... Absolutely fantastic and just what we needed. (more)Catherine Wilde

Northumberland farmstay holiday, England
Our stay was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, David and Jackie. From the welcoming tea and biscuits on arrival, to our departure, all was everything you could possibly wish for. The setting is absolutely stunning, with views over the owners farmland. The accommodation is spotless, and it obvious from the many nice touches, that a lot of thought and effort has gone into every aspect of this very personal B&B. (more)Peter Carney

Mountain biking holidays in England
Memorable parts? It was great to see the fantastic scenery and villages of the South West and this was just the mountain biking challenge I was looking for, both in terms of technical skill and fitness. The guides were very helpful (e.g. we got a lesson in bike maintenance) and friendly. They provided fantastic snacks and picnic lunches for us en route and went out of their way to buy the group's food requests. Day 3 was definitely the best with superb weather, stunning views over the Bristol... (more)Helena Posnett

Hadrians Wall cycling holiday, England
Memorable parts? The stunning scenery especially on the middle two days of the trek. Finishing wasn't too shabby either!!!!!!! Tips? Maybe not stay at Vallum Lodge or Heddon Lodge - OK but not inspiring. Local benefits? Definitely! Overall rating? Really really good! (more)Alison Watson

Self catering accommodation for 2 or 3 people, Peak District
Most memorable was leaving the car alone for 2 full days and exploring that area of the Peak District on foot only, tiring but works up an appetite... Excellent! (more)Ciara McGinley

Just to say the farm is a real gem. We were only there for 2 nights so not a lot to report - just that it's a real quality place set amidst beautiful walking country - just the place for a quiet retreat with excellent eating places. (more)Liz Rollinson

Herefordshire self catering accommodation
The Hermitage is a wonderful location for a holiday, the accommodation is extremely comfortable and there are lots of little touches that make it special. It is the kind of place you can visit at any time of year. (more)Bridget Ashley
We would like to go back in the summer and make use of increased daylight. The children loved it. They could romp in the woods safely - as the crow flies they were very close to the house, yet they felt as though they were in the wilds. (more)Alyson Telfer
The accommodation was superb with great views and lovely countryside right on your doorstep to explore. (more)Kirstin Goodwin

Surrey Hills B&B accommodation, England
Memorable parts? Finally arriving at this hidden gem of a farm, deep down wooded lanes, far from others-very quiet. Tips? A car is a must, even for walkers as visiting local restaurants/pubs etc would be impossible in late evening as totally dark, especially in wintertime. Be sure to take a good pair of shoes/boots to enjoy more freely the maze of paths in this particular part of the Surrey Hills. Local benefits? Yes, I ate in two local pubs/restaurants thereby supporting... (more)John Pollard
