(more)We loved the location of the straw bale cabin, right in the middle of a working farm, beautiful countryside all around. The only noises the sounds of the animals and birds. Bliss for get away from it all city dwellers. (more)The location itself was very quiet and peaceful, but only a short journey to the facilities of the nearest town. It was amusing to be greeted by the free range chickens each time we went out. (more)We were intrigued to stay in a house made of straw bales and to see how recycling/ reuse can be put into practice and good effect.- we were not disappointed! We found the photo albums showing the building of the house really interesting.

(more)We were blessed with consistently clear, sunny almost 80-degree weather. And the small towns where we stayed overnight were charming and still very rural, but with nice accommodations and pubs. We have never been on a walking holiday of this duration, and it's by far the best form of locomotion. Suspended 50ft in the air, enjoying the beautiful panoramic views framed by branches and leaves and then plucking up the courage to peer beneath was the most memorable part... pretty scary at first but fantastically liberating after the initial surprise. (more)Superb accommodation made a great base to explore the isle of Wight, an area new to us. Lovely garden and al fresco dining! Looking round the forge in the B&B was fascinating and discussing how it operated. Also the meal at the lovely nearby pub and trying to do their pub quiz. (more)Home from home accommodation with beautiful views, where our 6 and 3 year old could explore Godshill farm freely, safely and meet new friends also staying on the farm. To hear the Animals in the morning in the surrounding fields make it a special and exciting way for children to start the day. (more)Most memorable was how perfect the accommodation was. Clean, warm, cheery, brilliantly laid out for wheelchair users. The whirlpool bath was fab, especially when using the eco friendly toiletries supplied. Our stay was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, David and Jackie.
