Ethiopia is a beautiful country and confounds every expectation. Having Live Aid so firmly etched in my mind, I went expecting to see abject poverty and desert but instead found myself overwhelmed by the majestic landscapes and besotted with the independence and pride of the Ethiopians.

We were really excited to see the Ethiopian wolf! Bisangari lodge was beautiful... watching the sunset over the lake, watching the sea eagles and pied kingfishers fish and playing cards with our guides in the tree bar.

The scenery and the climate were spectacular, but the general feel of Ethiopia is great, much cleaner than I expected...Eskinder and the operator were great, they looked after us every step of the way, and we have some wonderful memories to keep.

In old fashioned terms 10/10; or in other words we received a top class service at a fair and reasonable price. This was the most memorable holiday that I have ever taken and would not hesitate to recommend it.

Touring lake monasteries in Bahir Dar, Lalibela - especially the mule trek...I would definitely recommend visiting Ethiopia - a beautiful and friendly country and using this tour operator.

Most memorable was arrving at the first village on day one of the trek - incredible setting and the most spectacular place to have a cup of tea anywhere in Ethiopia!

I am not sure what was the most memorable or exciting part of our holiday - for the three of us it would be different things. I think for my daughter it would be the fact that a leopard visited our camp in the Simien Mountains...I would say it was a truly amazing time.

Very good, educational and rewarding... Sunsets and silences in the great outdoors/Simien Mountains.

We chose to do the trip by road as opposed to flying and it was a very good choice. The travel was very difficult at times but the landscape was amazing and well worth the long days. You also get a great insight into the day to day life of the people. Those journeys were my most memorable.

Challenging to the extreme but rewarding - as I also visited a sponsored child so the trek as well as the visit made an excellent combination.
