Family walking holidays. Tours & holidays in 2016 & 2017

It can sometimes be a hard sell persuading children to go on family walking holidays. However, throw in a safari camp, a donkey to carry your bags, a mountain yurt or a swim at the end of each day and they start to warm to the idea. And if you get a guide who knows exactly how to get young people interested in landscape, wildlife and all the natural adventures that await, your family walking holiday is made.

Awesome, it has raised the bar for next year! (more)Tony Johnson

The mountains, flora and fauna in an exceptionally beautiful and unspoilt part of the world, within and on the periphery of the Mercantour National Park in the French maritime Alps were most memorable. (more)Nick Lampert

Nepal family holiday
Memorable parts? Staying with our 3 young (9, 8 & 3) children in a village community homestay. The villagers and local guides were all fantastic! Tips? Don't hesitate, just do it! Local benefits? Yes, especially in Chitwan where we stayed for 3 days in a Tharu village homestay. Overall rating? We spent 8 days there over Christmas (including Christmas day itself in Kathmandu).
