The most memorable part of our trip was most likely the scenery we loved the mountains and woodlands. The next was the food as Nick is no doubt an excellent chef and Dasha a specialist with deserts.

I loved this little farm and the people who run the B&B. It was in a lovely spot by a stream...I loved my time in the area of the B&B.

Our holiday was WONDERFUL, and we hope to go back someday.
..Soledad and Charles were incredible hosts. The surroundings were beautiful, the house was incredibly comfortable, and we enjoyed the serene nature all around us.

We could not have hoped for a better holiday. This was our first time in Sardinia, our first farm holiday, away from the beaten tracks. We spent a week and rested so much that we feel as if we've been away for months.

It was an excellent retreat, and exactly what I was looking for: a small, warm, friendly place, far from the big city life.

It was amazing. Really the best one I've ever had. I loved the feel of the place and I felt really at home with out all the baggage of being at home (phone, computer, projects, piles of stuff...)

The most memorable part were the ...scones on arrival (they were the best I have ever tasted!), walking around the beautiful country side and the farm...

Perfect - the best week's holiday we've ever had. The accommodation was very comfortable, the surroundings were idyllic, and the views breathtaking. Very peaceful and relaxing, with lovely outside eating areas, a hammock and a pool.

The sheer beauty and peace of the landscape and the farm were most memorable... This place is best enjoyed as an opportunity to take time out and relax rather than as a base for lots of excursions. 10/10 - wonderful!

Seeing the farm and the animals and finding out about how they have converted to an organic farm was the most memorable part.

Excellent! It was very different and unique and gave us a chance to meet local people and find out how they live and try some delicious food. I would highly recommend the villa and staying in an agritourism accommodation in the Trentino region.

This really was the best holiday we have ever had, we have struggled in the past to find somewhere that everyone enjoys which is difficult with young active children, but this accommodation and Ithaca really did mean we relaxed and enjoyed time with them whilst they also had a great time. None of us wanted to leave and we will definitely go back.

There were so many of the little things that had been done to make our stay perfect - it was very much appreciated....Don't think about it, just do it, you'll have a great time. My only regret is not booking for longer.

Our holiday in Umbria was absolutely fantastic! The accommodation was beautiful and Francesco and Monia (the owners) took great care refurbishing the old farm house, being sensitive to the architecture, nature and the Umbrian tradition.

The most memorable parts were enjoying cooking lessons with a bat flying over head. Scrubbing baby elephants clean with a coconut shell. Eating the most amazing food in a cosy family atmosphere.

It was really nice to feel, just for a minute, that we were part of an organic farm, as this is my dream. We had a small glimpse into the hard work but satisfying life of organic farming.

Visiting this Estancia was the best choice we made for our trip to Buenos Aires and we will certainly try to go back for a longer time. We all give it our "thumbs up" and wish they keep on as they are.

Home from home accommodation with beautiful views, where our 6 and 3 year old could explore Godshill farm freely, safely and meet new friends also staying on the farm. To hear the Animals in the morning in the surrounding fields make it a special and exciting way for children to start the day.

The highlights were the warm welcome, wonderful cream tea on arrival. Very child friendly - Rose went out of her way to find books and puzzles for the children to play with.

At responsibletravel.com weve seen interest in UK farmstay holidays more than double in the past year which is great news for the carbon footprint as well as a sign that getting out and about in the beautiful British countryside is still one of our favourite pastimes. The 106% increase in enquiries for our UK farmstay accommodation collection - many of which are certified as organic - also reflects a growing trend for more and more UK farmers to turn to travel and tourism - 'agro tourism' - as a means of subsidizing incomes. So, as its the Soil Association's Organic Fortnight (6-21 September) we thought wed showcase some of our top farmstay accommodations for the perfect autumn break and talk to the people behind them.
