Activity holiday in France of the most memorable parts was. Lunch on a summit La Cime de Guilie at 2999m with 360 degree views encompassing Italy and France. (more)Katie Toms
The boys loved cayonning - jumping off of cayons into pools; I loved horse riding American style through the mountains - it was fantastic & Liz was a terrific guide. We also climbed up to some glacial lakes with Mel - which was an incredible experience. (more)Natalie Wiggins
The Mercantour is a spectacular area of France and being off the tourist beaten track makes it all the more beautiful. (more)Claire Fellows

Horse riding holiday in the Mercantour
Every minute was memorable and exciting! The horses, the views, the people, the food - all lovely. (more)Jane Fox
I loved every moment of it. It felt really special and actually quite an achievement to be part of something like a transhumance, which is steeped in so much tradition. (more)Kate Moore
Most memorable was perhaps climbing to what seems like the top of the world on horseback, arriving at a mountain refuge in a cloud and then realizing the stupendous view in the morning. (more)Hester Wilcox

Activity holidays in the Ardeche, France
Memorable parts? Canyoning. Tips? Waterproof trousers or swim shorts for canoeing in case the sun is not out, I had shorts on and I was very cold on the first day out due to water soaking in them from paddle dripping. Local benefits? Bought food for lunch at local supermarket and used local restaurant, plus we enjoyed shopping at the market, so yes to benefiting local people. If it had of been a busier time of year the van for transporting everyone to activities helps the... (more)Julia Harman

Horse riding holiday in France
Excellent. This is a fine place to stay! With lovely people and surroundings. The best parts were riding in unknown rural France with horses up country tracks and beneath trees in occasional woodland. Meeting other riders and brushing up my French whilst the instructor brushed up my riding skills! (more)Liz Beaven
Tips for other travellers? Stay an extra week!...Ten out of ten. (more)Sue Evans

Self guided cycling holiday in Brittany, France
Memorable parts? Riding the bike and seeing Mont Saint-Michel for the first time close up. Tips? Don't pack too much luggage. Local benefits? We went to small villages and and enjoyed there hospitality, as we always cruise on holiday this cycling hol must benefit the environment. Overall rating? It was a very good holiday, the routes were good and interesting, the bikes a little heavy from what I am used to, and a couple of the hotels we thought were tired, one was... (more)John Parker

I think the attempt to reach the summit of Mont Blanc and in spite not having made it due to bad weather conditions it was still nice to have been to the Dome de Gouter. Other moments were the stunning landscapes. (more)Peter Koopmans

Activity holidays in the Pyrenees
Enjoyed all the activities, the chalet and food were great and all the guides were very friendly and experienced. Fantastic holiday, would certainly recommend to friends. (more)Jean Elliott
The most memorable part was seeing the fabulous scenery of the Pyrenees, walking in them, seeing the wildlife, and then all the activities we undertook as part of the multi-activity holiday. (more)Sally Preece

Ardeche cycling holiday
Memorable parts? For us, it was the ride up the Ardeche Gorge, though there were several highlights. Tips? Bring enough basic supplies to last a couple of days, and be aware of French Bank Holidays which may affect shop/restaurant opening hours. Have a plan for poor weather in the 'shoulder' seasons. Local benefits? In general, yes. For practical reasons, we chose to drive to St Andre - better than flying, but perhaps not as good as the train - but carrying sufficient cycling... (more)Tim Collins

Paris to Marrakech tour
Memorable parts? The most memorable part of my holiday was realizing that where I travelled was full of history, fantastic buildings and stories. That people had been living and existing in this area for a vast period of time and continue to do so. Tips? Read the trip notes so you have an idea of what to expect-nothing can prepare you even when you're there. Expect the unexpected and go with an open mind. Local benefits? Yes, as locals were employed, ran hotels, shops, etc.... (more)Robyn Ward

Multi-activity holiday in the French Alps
Absolutely brilliant. (more)Jane Sargent
A fantastic holiday and one I'd love to do again!...The area was beautiful and the local restaurants were very nice. The activities, in particular the white water rafting, were the most memorable part of the holiday. A great way to get out and see the area from a different perspective. (more)Donal Kelly
All the activities were special (trekking, cycling, horse riding and via ferrata). The two peaks we climbed were highlights for me. (more)Elroy Campbell

Cycling holiday in the Loire, France
We got extraordinary support from the hotel staff in Bracieux and this, with the pleasures of biking through the dominial forest to and from the Chateau at Chambord, plus the Chateau itself, made this portion really memorable (more)Peter Strauss
Most memorable were the great cycling and the choice of chateaux, restaurants, wine-tasting, etc we had in very good cycling weather. Good that cycling on French roads turned out to be easy, although there were not always cycle paths. (more)Achim Holzenberger
The castles were the most memorable part of the holiday. The tour brings you past many "postcard-ones" :-). Some have audio guides. Most routes are quiet. "Air for the soul". (more)Sandra Neuhaus
