Rural accommodation in Gozo is now gaining a reputation for its high standards and the range of holidays on offer. More than 60 % of country lets are in renovated farm houses which are often on hilltops with wide views over the sea. Built from the soft pastel coloured traditional limestone, with shaded courtyards, beamed interiors and antique furniture, the houses offer surprising luxury in charmingly remote locations. Visitors can experience the authentic off the beaten track rural lifestyle and really

There are many self catering options, which range from small flats to complete houses many of which are eco friendly, generating their own electricity and solar energy, and recycling water and waste. One of the main advantages of Rural accommodation in Gozo is that a beach is never more than ten minutes away. A new agro tourism venture set in the Ta’ Mena estate in the centre of the island also offers visitors the chance to work alongside Gozitans on the land - from picking grapes or oranges, to collecting their own eggs for breakfast, or even going out with local fishermen for the day in a local boat.
