Drumming Up The Dead

Simon Broughton joins in with the drumming ceremony to salute the ancestors of Carriacou, Grenada's smaller sister island.

Carriacou, has just 7,000 inhabitants. One small bead in a string of Caribbean island. Small though it is it has a rich African tradition that hasn't mixed it's music with bigger island like Jamaica or Cuba. Listen to capture the flavour of an authentic island and culture.
