Everything about this holiday was excellent, and exceeded expectations. The walking was varied, the guide/s were knowledgeable and supportive, the food was simply wonderful, and my walking companions were friends by the end of the week.

The best memories I take away from this holiday are of the gorgeous springtime Sardinian scenery, eating enormous home-cooked meals at the agricoturismos and of the all-round kindness and generosity of everybody we met. (more)
Its impossible to specify any part of the trip as being the most memorable because every aspect of the holiday was really quite perfect ... For us it was five star because we really did find a little nook where the culture was pre-industrial, living concurrently with other lifestyles. (more)We were blessed with consistently clear, sunny almost 80-degree weather. And the small towns where we stayed overnight were charming and still very rural, but with nice accommodations and pubs. We have never been on a walking holiday of this duration, and it's by far the best form of locomotion. (more)
This holiday was fabulous - it was extremely relaxing being so far from civilisation. It was possible to walk all day and see hardly anybody. The food was excellent (huge quantities) and so was the local wine, beer and brandy (also plentiful!) (more)
The most remarkable aspect was that just one hour's drive from crowded Benidorm you can trek beautiful countryside without a tourist in site. Being able to see the ordinary lives of the local farmers, harvesting their fruit etc. and staying in villages that seem to stand still in time, was great. (more)The variety of the programme - the buzz of Havana - the Cuban people that we met - the guide that accompanied us all week could not be faulted - he made every effort to make sure we maximised our time in his country. The walking is very well described and on relatively easy paths/ tracks so that we were walking a grade above that we had expected with no real difficulties. Dave and Gill are very helpful in providing other walks if you want something easier/ more difficult. The highlights were the walks through the Rodopi Mountains: wonderful scenery and lots of very interesting flora and fauna and the hospitality we received in the guesthouses.

Most memorable was walking Hadrians Wall with a very knowledgeable guide and great company. It was easy to imagine the Romans marching up and down, defending their empire from the marauding tribes.
