Drinking rum and coke out of a coconut while swimming in beautiful sea waters at sunset, simply brilliant...Loved it. Been on many tours, the tour guide was good and it was lovely to travel in a manageable group size. (more)
An experience of endeavour and hard slog but a life achievement . The achievement of getting to above 4000mtres on foot and the View of Mt Langtang was the best part of the holiday. (more)The Elephant Transit Camp in Udawalawe was a fantastic example of the care Sri Lankans take of their wildlife, allowing close up views of baby elephants both in the camp and later in the National Park where the elephants are eventually re-released. Completely memorable. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I did not want to leave. The scenery, food (especially the ice cream on Lopud), people, walks, weather, and local activities that crop up make this trip truly worth the effort of booking. (more)
Dusk, every night would be the most memorable tucking into a well-deserved evening meal, with aching arms and mildly sunburnt hands, overlooking the sea as surrounding lush-green islands disappear with the sun. (more)
The highlights were coming across a flock of Sri Lanka Blue Magpies feeding noisily in the Sinharaja Rain Forest and seeing the nesting Painted Storks with chicks in Yala National Park. We give it a high rate since this was the best holiday we have had, kids loved it as well and we consider re doing it, maybe in a different season. (more)

(more)This really was the best holiday we have ever had, we have struggled in the past to find somewhere that everyone enjoys which is difficult with young active children, but this accommodation and Ithaca really did mean we relaxed and enjoyed time with them whilst they also had a great time. None of us wanted to leave and we will definitely go back.
