Osa Peninsula rainforest wildlife lodge in Costa Rica
Wonderful! Gorgeous surroundings, beautiful and comfortable accommodations, and an amazing, helpful staff made this a honeymoon to cherish and remember! (more)melissa mansfield
The amount of wildlife is amazing. We saw howler monkeys, spider monkeys, a baby sloth, poison dart frogs and a roadguarder snake, while the various sofas and spots to laze about on the terrace were great for bird-watching, with scarlet macaws and toucans easy to spot. (more)Christopher Ewers

Cirali beach holiday, Turkey
One of the main reasons we picked Cirali as our holiday destinations was to see the sea turtles, or as the locals know them, the Caretta...We were honoured to watch the turtle's arduous journey down to the sea, just as the sun was beginning to rise. It was exactly like the natural history documentaries, only without the commentary from David Attenborough! (more)Amy Pickard
Most memorable was sitting in the shade having a fantastic breakfast looking straight out onto the beach in glorious sunshine and swimming with turtles on a day out in a local fisherman's boat (more)Anna Bradley
Brilliant for a honeymoon. Perfect place to relax, enjoy each others company and great food. The sea is great for swimming as it gets deep quickly.... you don't have to wade out for miles! (more)Laura Smith

Pousada Picinguaba luxury beach resort, Brazil
Memorable parts? The whole holiday in Brazil was fantastic! Probably the most exciting part was "meeting" with dolphins up close in Fernando de Noronha. Tips? We got what we expected, I definitely recommend this website for holiday booking. Local benefits? We found Brazil more environmental friendly than we expected and certainly more than many European countries. The place we booked through this site was exactly as described but other areas of Brazil are also well preserved. Overall... (more)Carlotta Crespi

Faralya boutique hotel, near Oludeniz
Memorable parts? A small boat trip on the turquoise coast and watching the sun set every night from our balcony. Small compact and bijou with some much fruit and veg locally produced and good (if repetitive) food. Also very much enjoyed exploring some of the many ancient ruined cities. Tips? There are more bees than you can imagine so those with a sting allergy be aware, there must be 40,000 hives in this area of Turkey which is the major honey producing area! We had no problems... From 195 - 285 per room per night (sleeps 2)
Kangaroo Valley luxury cottage accommodation, Australia
Memorable parts? This accommodation was the third stop on our Australian honeymoon. We stayed in the Jolly Jumbock honeymoon cottage. It was wonderful! My favourite part was the verandah at night with the pond providing a lovely noisy backdrop (lots of frogs and nocturnal noises!). The next best bit (accommodation-wise) was the bathroom. It's pretty to have a large, jacuzzi bath which looks out over the meadows and pond. I also loved the goodies left in the hamper, the afternoon tea... (more)Emma Linnane
From AU $280 - AU $340 per double room per night
Garden Route luxury accommodation in South Africa
The lodge is a fantastic place to stay in a stunning setting. The standard of accommodation is very high, with simple but good quality furnishings, and the set-up for families in two-storey rooms works very well. (more)Liz Roberts
Since it was my birthday my parents had contacted the hotel and arranged for a bottle of bubbly to be in the room when I came back from a days walking - drinking that whilst sitting on the balcony was lovely. (more)Anon

Dakhla Oasis desert accommodation in Egypt
Memorable parts? The lodge was set in a lovely location high above the oasis at Dakhla. The views were wonderful from the decks and verandas. Our highlight of the trip was taking a half day camel trip into the sand hills behind the lodge. The camel guides and camels were great. We had a campfire lunch complete with roasted corn that we had gathered from a date farm the day before. The next day our guide took us to a 1000 year old mud brick village in the heart of Dakhla--complete with old... (more)Nancy Reinisch

Kenya beach resort on Manda Island
It was just incredible- I honestly, honestly mean that and I can be very hard to please! I will never forget it and have come home feeling more rested and content than I have ever been before. It was the best start to married life for us we could have possibly had. (more)Aoibheann Kelly
It was all memorable. We pretty much had the whole island to ourselves, total tranquility and relaxation. Rachael and the staff made the whole holiday unforgettable...10 out of 10. We have come back feeling completely relaxed. (more)Katherine Ford
The most memorable part was our trip to mandatoto - a full day out on a dhow... a great day full of humour, with fantastic snorkelling and brilliant food (they caught a barracuda, marinated it and cooked it over charcoal on the boat) (more)Anna Bradley

Pyrenees mountains luxury hotel, France
Memorable parts? Simply relaxing in what must be one of the quietest places in Europe. The views across the Pyrenees from the pool to Mount Canigou are wonderful and take your breath away as you arrive. If I ever decide to write a book or to learn to meditate then this will be the place! The food was wonderful too, we felt like guests in a private home more than being in a 'hotel.' Once we were rested we enjoyed walks in the hills behind Can Rigall, boule and archery! Tips? Give... (more)Justin Francis

Cova den Xoroi - the converted caves were amazing, sipping a drink on the terrace and watching the waves below Tips? you must hire a car, the hotel is slightly remote and the whole of the island is well worth exploring Local benefits? the island has protected status and is extremely clean and litter free which makes everyone care for it Overall rating? an excellent 'rest & relax' holiday (more)marion williams

North Cornwall luxury organic accommodation, England
The owners of the B.B were lovely people, very friendly and helpful. Also a beautiful house, wonderful food. Walking around the garden, growing of organic food, so yes I will give them 100per cent (more)Diana Conkerton
Gill and Neil make you feel very at home and I was very well looked after. I even got a ride out in the pony and trap one evening - an added bonus! I had a lovely, relaxing week and would definitely recommend this accommodation to other people. I would be very happy to stay there again in the future. (more)Moira Siara
'Organic' here goes far beyond food. The bed linen is organic cotton, as are the toiletries. Everything is focused around sustainability; your bath water is solar heated, and there are log fires in each of the reception rooms. (more)Vikki Clamp

Negombo eco friendly beach hotel in Sri Lanka
This is an ideal place for tranquility and those who really enjoy flora and fauna. We found it to be a true privilege (i.e. total lack of tourists) when visiting Wilpattu Park, which was only recently reopened to the public. (more)Susan Haldy
I greatly enjoyed the trip. The service was impeccable. I have sent the link for the hotel to a very long list of friends. (more)Laura Donovan
Highlights were numerous. The ferry ride across to the resort changed the whole atmosphere, you were a in a different world. Early morning bird watching and eating produce from the villages own garden (more)Ian Richardson
