It was a wonderful holiday, and we would love to go back...The houseboat was run so professionally by Suresh and his team. Our room was spotless, the living accommodation at the front of the boat was comfortable and spacious, the food amazing (we were offered and enjoyed all manner of Keralan dishes) and plentiful, the staff genuinely friendly and helpful. Each place we visited was like a new holiday. Brilliantly put together, great choice of places to stay. And of course Kerala was amazing, and the food to die for. (more)Sarah Beard

One of my most memorable experiences was our frequent walks to the local river where we swam and talked with local people, many washing themselves and their clothes in the idyllic setting of the river. (more)Felicity Fincham
The most memorable parts were enjoying cooking lessons with a bat flying over head. Scrubbing baby elephants clean with a coconut shell. Eating the most amazing food in a cosy family atmosphere. (more)Jo Osborn
The most memorable part of my holiday would have to be spending the morning in the river with 6 beautiful elephants - just washing them and watching them - it was amazing. (more)Joy Skipper

Memorable parts? The camel safari - wonderful romantic scenery and Fort Ater, great fun for the children. Tips? Take all your money as British pounds in cash and change at Delhi airport. ATMs allow only limited withdrawal of cash in India, British banks stop your card if used so you cannot use another day unless you inform them. Do not drink the "drinking water" at Delhi airport - make sure you have enough rupees left to buy drinking water when awaiting the outward flight. Local... (more)Nicola Newman

Memorable parts? Picture the scene, you are sat on the back of an elephant looking down into the long grass where a stunning tiger views you with mild suspicion. Your elephant steps a couple of feet too close and... whilst it was merely a warning and we were obviously in no danger, I will never forget the noise the tiger made! Our tiger sightings (5 in 3 days at Kanha) were amazing. Peering through the edge of the forest to see a tiger looking back at you only a few metres away is something... (more)Mark Lineham
