Seeing a tiger in the wild was simply amazing, but another heart stopping experience happened a few days later. While having an outdoor supper at the hotel, a tiger nearby started calling. It sounded so close and the area was so dark. Simply amazing to be that close to wild tigers. (more)Lorinda Semeniuk

It was a trip of a lifetime and to experience tigers at such close hand was an experience we will never forget. India is exhausting but the wildlife of the parks was amazing. (more)Julia Gallagher

Memorable parts? There were many memorable experiences - our rickshaw ride through the Dehli markets was definitely a highlight....what a culture shock! The noise, smells, heat and totally manic traffic dodging around cows in the streets is imprinted on the memory. Seeing the rural life in Rajasthan was amazing - how the locals live in their mud houses, working on the land by hand, and how friendly the people were to us. Staying in a Maharaja's palace was an experience. Seeing the Taj... (more)Janine Jackson

Memorable parts? It was all such a memorable trip! I guess the biggest pleasure I had this time was sharing my love of India with my 11 year old granddaughter. Jaipur was wonderful, as were the frescos in Nawalgarh and the amazing hotel in Surajgarh and I haven't mentioned Agra and Fatepur Sikri! Tips? Check the weather, it's cold overnight and early starts mean you need warm clothing as well as lighter cottons for the day time. My granddaughter had a problem with spicy food and... There are so many great memories of the holiday, that will live long in the memory. In no particular order: The smile on the face of my daughter as the helped wash an elephant in the river, the scenery around Munnar was beautiful, the homestay at Dewalokam was just great - jumping and swimming in the river... Memorable parts? Seeing the enthusiasm of the children and how welcome we felt at the schools. Feeling connected to the local community and other volunteers whilst staying in the comfortable volunteers house instead of a hotel. Also the delicious authentic Indian food cooked by a lovely local lady at the house. Tips? Make time for a bit of relaxation before the project and after as the travelling is very tiring and we would have liked to have had more time to spend in India. Make... (more)Rayner McKenzie
