It was all that you imagine Tuscany to be - a converted farmhouse set in stunning countryside with a view of the surrounding Tuscan countryside that had to be seen to be believed and which afforded the sight of the most wonderful sunsets.

For me it was the first time for such a holiday and I would definitely go back and do it again. It was very enjoyable.

Being on stomboli while the volcano rumbled and spat - being so close to lava fountains was the most memorable part.

Most memorable was reaching the top of Monte Prado, the highest point in Tuscany and no other group in sight. The best kept secret, long may it continue. I plan to go back!

The view from the highest point was fantastic and with air so pure we could see for miles. Scenery was stunning as was the variety of vegetation and rock formations.

Every destination was exciting to experience but my favorites were the Cinque Terra, Lake Como, and the bike ride in Lucca.

Despite having a mobility problem, I managed 3 out of 4 walks. They were amazing and Rudy was invaluable to give me the confidence to carry on even on some quite hard terrain. The hotel turned out to be experts in gluten free cooking and so the other perfect half was the ability to eat enough food to fuel the walking.

The whole tour was great, but I especially enjoyed the picnic while watching the sun set over the roof tops of Florence... Value for money. Pace was right with a good balance of lone time and group time.

Visiting outstanding classical sights such as the quarry in Syracuse where 7000 athenians were enslaved was the most memorable part of the holiday

The setting is magical, with the beautiful farmhouse set in the middle of the family’s land and olive groves. The cookery lessons were great - informal tuition with Anna, a local lady and amazing cook. You cannot beat making ravioli for lunch using local ingredients.

I loved every part of it!! From the breathtakingly beautiful scenery to the feeling that you were living simply among an Italian community who acknowledged your presence but did not change themselves because you were there.

We stumbled on a very local benefit cook-out for a church restoration in Venice. We enjoyed dinner there which also included a live band, and felt good that proceeds were going to a good cause.

This was one of the best holidays we have had. It was lovely getting to know a group of people, it was valuable to share a holiday with people who had a common interest. Getting up early for yoga in the morning and having a lovely breakfast was wonderful.
