Tailor made holiday in Peru
Memorable parts? EVERYTHING - it was just great! Tips? To inform themselves very early (6 month before booking) to get the most out of it. We therefore had the best holidays ever and people we met on our tour were just jealouse, because we could do all the cool stuff (we had organised the permits for Huayna Picchu, the Trek to Huchuy Qosqo etc.) Local benefits? Yes I do Overall rating? Great! (more)Barbara Buchegger

The autumn colours were just amazing in Japan. Its a fascinating culture with so many memorable experiences, just a few spring to mind, walking the Nakesendo highway, staying at the Mitsui Garden hotel in Tokyo, the views are mind blowing from here, Geisha spotting in Kyoto... Tailor made holiday in Brazil
We had a morning horse riding down a flooded area at the start, with our feet touching the water, and then across more open country; the wild flowers and birds were amazing. A 5.30 am canoe trip which was magical, so quiet and peaceful, seeing the beauty of the sun rising and hearing the early morning bird song; the canoe being so quiet we were able to get very close to birds before they flew. Later that afternoon we visited a fishing village down the river and were invited into their one room house... (more)Harvey Bromley

We enjoyed it all - wonderful food, pleasant, well informed guides, new experiences. Hanoi is a beautiful and really buzzing city; we'd love to go back. Mai Chau valley is beautiful and developing fast; Halong is like visiting another planet - so strange, so awe-inspiring. (more)Patricia Stoat
It was a great holiday, and it is very hard to single out one thing. Our trip to the northeast was one of the best bits (I was honoured to be invited to join the other giggling grannies on the floor of the Tay house - if only I was as limber as they are!). (more)Margery Nzerem

Memorable parts? Swimming with sea-lions in the Galapagos. Tips? Don't delay! There wasn't anything I could fault. Local benefits? Yes - local guides were used in each city and also for the boat crew. The boat was classified as an eco-catamaran. Overall rating? Excellent. Very sad to have had to leave. (more)Sarah Hext

Laos tailor made holiday, culture & adventure
Memorable parts? My wife and I agreed that our holiday in Cambodia was without doubt the best we have ever had. Every day was different, ranging from the magic of the temples of Angkor, the wildlife, ranging from dolphins to elephants, the sadness of the Killing Fields, the majesty of the Royal Palace to the beauty of Lonely Beach. To pick any one thing was impossible, but if forced to it was the absolute brilliance of the staff of the company at every level, in the UK organising and supporting... (more)Nigel Davies

Diving holiday in Gozo, Malta
Memorable parts? Farmhouse was huge. Diving was incredible. Local food delicious whether you are in or out. Tips? Gozo is very quiet and maybe too quiet for some. We loved it but we had the diving to keep us entertained. Local benefits? Yes to a large degree. We used local shops and restaurants. The dive school was British but it was well run and took care of us and the environment. Overall rating? We had a wonderful time. Everything was fabulous. Only a few small... (more)Jane Carpenter

Memorable parts? The blue train ride, Ooty/Coonor. Croatian Islands yacht cruise
Memorable parts? Hard to say, so many moments. I guess top of the list would be swimming in the sea, off the back of the boat. I loved both Split and Dubrovnik, but also the lovely islands between them, especially Mljet national park. Tips? Learn some Croatian words, and how to pronounce them. This is much appreciated. Local benefits? Yes, there were a few trips to local restaurants and parks. Every day, the boat seemed to be stocked by local people. Hard to say if it reduced... (more)Eileen Silcock

Jordan holiday, tailor made
Memorable parts? The Feynan lodge is a terrific place to stay, and the walk down from Dana is a very enjoyable one, through surprisingly varied scenery. Tips? Jordan is a very friendly, welcoming country, with plenty to see and do. It is quite compact, so there are not long distances to travel. We stayed for 10 days, and would happily have stayed longer, but equally it makes a good destination for a shorter break as well. Local benefits? Yes, to a large extent. It is a pity... New Zealand holidays, tailor made
Memorable parts? We had a wonderful holiday. Loved New Zealand, what is there not to like? Beautiful countryside, lovely people, lots to do and a nation that is responsible in maintaining the environment. Hard to pick most memorable....both my husband and I did a 2 day horse trek and we had a ball. Then landing on a glacier in a ski plane was awesome. Can't overlook the wonderful people we met everywhere, they made the trip! My personal favorite place was Arthur's Pass at the Wilderness Lodge.... (more)Cathy Shiner

The Andean explorer train ride from Cusco to Lake Titicaca was an excellent way to see many aspects of Peru from the city suburbs through the slums then farming communities, through the middle of market towns and past the spectacular backdrop of the Andes. (more)Jane Lines
The most lasting memory will probably be our stay on Amantani Island on Lake TitiKaka. We stayed with a family without water and electricity and it was both enjoyable as well as being an eye opener. (more)Chris Simmons

...our overall experience was amazing! We loved the people and the variety of Vietnamese countryside. We feel that this trip was a quick tour of the country and would love to return to visit areas we did not have time to visit (e.g. the national parks) and revisit areas for longer (e.g. a home stay and trek in Sapa). Memorable parts? Trekking at the lodge in the hills of Northern Thailand (Chiang Rai province). The scenery was stunning, the Lodge vey comfortable, the trekking fun, food delicious and staff very friendly and informative. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for some adventure in Northern Thailand. Tips? Unfortunately we couldn't make the group date tours so our trip was tailor made, but based in the group tour itinaries. My main tip is to be prepared for travel in September - pack...
