The holiday was full of memorable experiences from our first day when we met our fantastic driver/guide, Kapila. He seemed to really enjoy sharing his knowledge of the history, culture, flora and fauna of Sri Lanka. He was also really good fun and so caring about our enjoyment and welfare - he became a real friend and we will keep in touch.
(more)Arriving at the village of Imlil and loading our bags on to a mule was certainly a highlight and set the tone of things to come. When we reached our room and looked out over our balcony to the snow capped mountains above we knew we were in for a fabulous stay. (more)We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks... (more)We were really impressed with the genuine warmth of greeting from this Bedouin based community project, the welcome tea drink, the sunset walk with more tea around a camp fire! Jordan is a very friendly, welcoming country, with plenty to see and do. It is quite compact, so there are not long distances to travel. We stayed for 10 days, and would happily have stayed longer, but equally it makes a good destination for a shorter break as well. (more)I would rate this as one of the best holidays I've taken. The sights were beautiful, the people wonderful and everything went as planned.

Really brilliant - it was our honeymoon and we really had a fabulous time. It was so well organised by the operator which took a lot of the stress out of travelling which was exactly what we needed with such a complicated itinerary. The hotels we stayed in were second to none - really fabulous and we were spoilt rotten!

The accommodation was the most luxurious, most welcoming, most helpful place we have ever stayed in; and the walks through the tea estate with idyllic views of the reservoir and surrounding hills, both relaxing and inspiring.

There were several highlights. The Golden Temple at Amritsar, Jairpur's Amber Fort & Palace, the backwaters of Kerala and our homestay in the Nilgiri Hills. The temples (including Angkor Wat) around Siam Reap were wonderful. But our two day trip on the Mekong to Luang Prabang and, Luang Prabang itself were very memorable. It was a wondeful experience in every respect. The organisation and choice of hotels and guides was excellent. (more)It was a great holiday, and it is very hard to single out one thing. Seeing the ancient Egyptian sites that are so old and so famous, to actually see them in real life. And to be able to see so much in a few days without feeling rushed!
(more)Petra was much bigger than expected, the camel ride easier, and the scenery more spectacular than we imagined... It was a great way to see a lot of Jordan quickly - a charming country with open, friendly residents.
