Borneo luxury holidays, tailor made
Magical...Fantastic - comment from my husband "I normally am ready to come back to work, but this time i absolutely hated it!" (more)Deborah Flint
Fantastic - the wildlife was amazing; watching elephants bathing in the river, snorkelling with turtles, scuba diving with sharks (small ones thankfully!), and the odd orangtan and probocis monkey! The people were extremely friendly and proud of their country. (more)Anna Davies
Making it to the top of Mount Kinabalu, spotting four wild orangutans and a huge croc on a Kinabatangan river cruise and Lankayan Island were the best. (more)Sue Cheung
From £3150 including UK flights

The most memorable part of my holiday is the night safari in Taman Negara and the snorkelling trip on the Perhentians. (more)Marleen den Hartog
The Perhentian Islands are breathtakingly lovely and so relaxing; the homestay was absolutely charming and we ate like royalty. (more)Graham Diggle

Honeymoon in Borneo
Trekking in the Danum Valley was a definite highlight - from sitting on our sundeck listening to the hornbill calls to walking the canopy walkway in the dawn mist before breakfast and climbing to the highest viewpoint before returning for a fabulous buffet lunch. (more)Hannah Rousell
The most memorable part was Abai Jungle lodge - so remote and romantic, plus tons of wildlife. It felt like the first time you visited a zoo. (more)Leah Brinton
The whole holiday was amazing! We knew it would be really good, but it exceeded our hopes entirely! Seeing the magnificent wildlife in their natural environment was no doubt the highlight of our holiday. (more)Nerys Williams

Malaysia rainforest bungalows near Kuala Lumpur
My best holiday ever....The whole place was wonderful. I loved the open air nature of the hut. It felt like being outdoors yet protected at the same time. (more)Matthew Murphy
Very good...the best parts were Swimming in the pool during light rain and watching the clouds over the jungle. (more)Gisa Jaehnichen
Beautiful location, living in the open all day and night without the hassle of camping, the Malaysian food, the balance between privacy and company, the access to the virgin forest, the pools. What's not to like! (more)Mervyn Hawe
From MYR400 - MYR1000 per accommodation per night
Borneo tailor made tour on a shoestring
Fantastic if you like non commercial back to nature holiday that is environmentally friendly (more)Michael Hawker
Excellent, well thought out itinerary. The most memorable parts were Travelling into the jungle to stay at Abai Jungle Lodge and the river cruises. We saw wild orangutans, snakes, big spiders, Proboscis monkeys and more all in our hotel. (more)Christopher Lewis
If we had to name a specific high I think it'd have to be the private river cruises that we went on from the Abai Jungle Lodge. They were each so magical, romantic and different - I can't describe how wonderful they made us feel. But in truth the trip was packed with moments like this - hearing a turtle breath, seeing pygmy elephants up close and wild!! (more)Rob Skinner

Borneo family holiday, tailor made
Memorable parts? There were lots of highlights but we particularly enjoyed seeing the elephants swimming across the river and also releasing turtle hatchlings back into the sea. We also loved Abai jungle lodge. Beautiful scenery and wonderful staff. Tips? Take a rain coat...... It does rain heavily sometimes and you are in open top boats. Take some binoculars. Make sure you wear trainers and cover up in the bat caves. It is an absolutely fascinating place but if you don’t like insects... (more)Andrea Gauntlett

Borneo holiday, Mt Kinabalu, orangutans & rainforest
There are two: seeing a grown male orang utan in the wild, and watching the sun rise from the summit of Mount Kinabalu...fantastic, a real once in a lifetime experience (more)Hannah howard
The first week wasn't really a holiday it was just a hard slog. The 2nd week was great though and the guide Manuel was amazing, he made the holiday as fantastic as it was. (more)caroline stone
This was the first time that I had been on a group holiday and I was very impressed with the Guide, the organisation and the structure of activities during the trip. (more)Deborah McWhinney

Sarawak wildlife & beach holiday
Most memorable? Definitely climbing Mount Kinabalu. But very closely followed by the wildlife from orangutans, wild elephants to the sea turtles... Excellent... You should definitely book on this trip! (more)Kirsty Howland
The various methods of travel through Borneo really gave you a sense of travelling like locals and getting the maximum "real life" experience... The best travel experience I have had so far! (more)Michelle Blois
From £1125 - £1355 excluding flights
Malaysia tour, Coast to Coast
Memorable parts? We had some amazing experiences. The most memorable part of the holiday was snorkelling and trying scuba diving in the Perenthian Islands off the East coast of Malaysia. Beautiful scenery, welcoming people and a real chance to recharge the batteries and relax! Tips? This tour is rather 'over guided'. We felt a bit limited and restricted by the tight timetable. Not quite what we expected. Local benefits? Rather disappointing - our rep was Australian, not... (more)Kate Hemming

Sabah & Sarawak holiday in Borneo
It was an amazing wildlife adventure - I feel very fortunate to have seen freshly hatched baby green turtles and wild orangutans. (more)Claire Onody
There were many memorable moments. Too few to fully list out! One destination was the Gomantong Birdnest Caves. The main cave tests all your senses. Certainly a location for the next Indiana Jones film, not for flip-flop wearing tourists! (more)Jonathan Reed-Lethbridge
From £2585 including UK flights
Borneo safari, jungle, mountain & beach
Unbelievable, fantastic, amazing etc. EVERY day was perfect. It was our honeymoon and so many little touches and extra effort was made for us. It really was magical. Thank you. (more)Ross Smith
The climb up Mount Kinabalu probably stands out as the best bit. An incredibly tough assent followed by a somewhat painful descent but what a sense of achievement and sat at the summit watching the sunrise having made the climb took away what little breath we had left! (more)Alexandra Glenn
Lots of it was exciting but seeing the Orangutans in the wild has to be the best bit. (more)Phil Pinchen

Orangutan volunteering in Borneo
I enjoyed the time in Batang-Ai in the longhouse most. A natural paradise- the tribes people were wonderful and our guide also...Overall, an excellent trip (more)Katie Beckwith

Orangutan volunteering in Borneo and Malaysia
Memorable parts? Helping to catch a Crocodile, and a 13 foot long python that had eaten a monkey.... Definitely not your average holiday, which is nice... Tips? Go with an open mind, and be prepared for some physical work… Local benefits? Yes. Overall rating? Very enjoyable, thanks for having me. (more)John Broome

Borneo wildlife volunteer project
Memorable parts? There were many exciting wildlife sightings but the most memorable part of the holiday was being with Mark, the project leader, who was highly knowledgeable about the natural world as well as organising a varied and interesting programme. Tips? To be prepared to engage fully with all the activities arranged. A pair of binoculars would also be helpful Local benefits? It definitely supported conservation and maybe made the village more aware of the importance... (more)Tessa Milne-Day

Orangutan conservation holiday in Borneo
Staying with the local tribe in the jungle was the most memorable part of the holiday...10 out of 10. (more)Jennifer Beard
Learning about and working with the animals at the wildlife centre at Matang; tribal-style living deep in the rainforest, and the guides' ability to source food from nature with fishing spear and machete - and much, much more. (more)Hanne Samson
From £995 excluding flights
Malaysia tailor made holiday
Memorable parts? Difficult to say as all four venues were wonderful but Pangkor Laut Island was just perfect. Not cheap but worth it, the resort and staff were absolutely fantastic, definitely a 5 star location. Tips? Bear in mind the travel required, most transfers were around three hours so this can eat into a day in soom places so book an extra night where you think you may not have enough time but on the whole 2 or 3 nights is plenty to get a good view of all the areas. Local... (more)Julie Dyson

Marine conservation in Malaysia
Everything was exciting, having breakfast while watching dusky lungers, doing snorkel tours and swimming with sharks, doing jungle treks, enjoying a beautiful Island and meet a lot of people which became very quickly friends. It was the most exciting holiday in my life and I really recommend it. (more)Wendy Heck
Engaging with nesting turtles during the night and witnessing the hatching of baby turtles from nests in the hatchery. This was truly memorable... I loved every sandy, sweaty moment! (more)Chris Smith
The most memorable part was watching baby turtles hatch and then releasing them down the runway. (more)Fiona Best

Malaysia family holiday
Definitely memorable, a last family holiday my teenager's will remember forever. It really opened their eyes to different cultures and my daughter is more confident about the possibility of backpacking in her uni years. (more)Karen Wright
We swam with sea turtles, sharks, rays and the most amazing range of tropical fish. At Banding Island we also saw a rare Asian elephant in the wild. But the whole holiday was great - a huge range of sights and experiences crammed into a very short time. (more)Julie Martin
Highlights include tracking gibbons and overnight camp in the rainforest, some great food, swimming with a giant turtle and snorkelling around the reef. ALL the wildlife was great. People were lovely. (more)Laura Brodrick

Borneo family holiday to see Orangutans
In Borneo we met and travelled with like minded families and individuals, who along with good humoured guides added enormously to the pleasure of the trip. It was excellent and would thoroughly recommend for those who are adventurous, like variety and don't mind a bit of roughing. (more)Michael Mosley
It was a fantastic holiday and I felt that we were away for much longer than we actually were. We got to visit amazing places and it felt like an adventure but at all times it was stress-free and safe (which really helps when travelling with young children). (more)Emma Beeston
Fantastic! Aided greatly by a local guide who was both extremely knowledgeable, organised, and tolerant of persistent questioning by both the children and adults on the trip. (more)Barbara Burke

Borneo holiday, Land below the wind
It was all interesting and exciting in many different ways...It was very good. I would particularly like to comment on our guide Henry, who was with us every step of the way. (more)Mrs Gordon
Most memorable was seeing the wild orangutan and the feeding at Sepilok. (more)Wendy Knipe
It was absolutely fantastic, full of variety, we enjoyed so many new experiences, and were looked after above and beyond the call of duty by our guide who became part of our family. Borneo is a great place for a family adventure holiday. (more)Shauna Seccombe
From £1150 - £1250 excluding flights
Wildlife and culture holiday in Malaysia
Memorable parts? 1) Seeing our daughter & son-in-law in Perth WA. 2) The evening flight of bats from the Mulu Caves. 3) The friendliness of the Malay people. Tips? 1) It may be worth considering including an evening meal at the Batang Ai and I suspect this could be negotiated at a very reasonable price. We were in minority of guests without evening dinner included. This was at the Mulu resort and at other location in our itinerary there was the opportunity to eat at nearby restaurants. 2)... (more)John Newnham

Borneo tailor made holiday, wildlife & beaches
10 out of 10...the most memorable moment was seeing the Pygmy elephants on the banks of the Kinabatangan river playing, tugging up plants and placing them on their head. (more)Gill Bowles
We really enjoyed it and it lived up to expectations. (more)Steve Jameson
The most memorable part of the holiday was 100 pygmy elephants on the bank of the Kinabatangan River...Brilliant. Would do it again, and spend more time in each place. (more)Katie Southgate
From £2880 including UK flights
Volunteering in Malaysia
Memorable parts? The friendliness of the children and other volunteers, club activities with the students, snorkelling and the traditional Malay dinner. Tips? Take light weight clothes (including swimming costumes) that cover knees and shoulders. Be aware that it will be very hot and there is no air conditioning. Local benefits? The students seemed to enjoy the club activities but only time will tell whether attitudes to the environment change. It was good to see English club... (more)Ann Daly

Malaysia beach resort, Tioman Island
Swimming with a turtle...5* top notch, cannot rate it highly enough. (more)Fiona Leitch
...the best moment would be when we were asked to light the fire when we had the BBQ dinner on the beach one night. (more)Miriam Ferrer
The holiday was far better than I had thought possible. There were 12 of us in all, and we are all different people as a result of spending time at the resort. This was in part due to the environment, in part because of the way the retreat has been developed, and in part due to the wonderful team of people who looked after us. I need more stars than those below to rate this holiday. (more)Bridget Thomas
From £60 - £120 per person per night
Family holiday to Borneo, Land of the Orang Utan
This was our first holiday with this operator and it definitely exceeded our expectations. In large part this was due to the excellent guide Basil Lung. His knowledge and expertise was second to none. (more)Juliet Hately
River cruises at Bilet lodge; watching the proboscis monkeys, long-tailed macaques, elephants, monitor lizards, crocodiles and many different birds was the most memorable part. (more)Janet Preston
Tour guide fab, accommodation better than expected. Good range of activities. (more)Nick Silcock
