It’s hard to pick out the best bits; the whole 3 days were fab. For me it was probably the scenery at Chieow Laan Lake which is without doubt the most beautiful place I have seen. The children loved swimming and canoeing in the lake.
(more)The most memorable and exciting part of the holiday was drinking nettle beer as the sun went down on the Saturday night. We'd had a busy day digging, foraging and cooking, so seeing it all come together at the end of the day with a crackling fire and that beautiful view of the valley below was truly memorable. (more)Arriving in Mysore after flying into Bangalore gave us a wonderful introduction into the bustle and atmosphere of a relatively small Indian city; we loved the amazing market - brimming with flowers, spices, fruit and vegetables and the sumptuous Palace. Kangaroo Island was a very pleasant surprise. We enjoyed getting down close to a very windy and wild Southern Ocean, and walking on the beach at Sea Bay up close with the sea lions was a real highlight. (more)
Feeding the chimps in the morning was the most exciting part...It was great to have time to observe the chimps while helping out with their care. We got plenty of time and opportunity to contribute to the work.

The rice boat was the high light of our two weeks in India. Absolutely wonderful. The crew could not have looked after us better. We were fed sumptuously and frequently.
