Getting to Santiago to the Cathedral after a long and sometimes demanding walk.
For those in their sixties I would suggest a walk duration of 11-12 days from Porto to Santiago.
Local people benefitted certainly from the additional business they got from us. We were extremely careful to respect the environment we were in and were generally impressed with the level of cleanliness and respect shown to it.

Seeing the towers of Canterbury Cathedral for the first time away in the distance - our goal was now in sight.
Take a decent camera.
Definitely minimal impact on the environment. Local publicans certainly benefited as well.

Unemployment is high in Spain so tourism is a big source of jobs.
