There is a true sense of community in Dahab that made me feel absolutely safe and taken care of at all time. Diving was spectacular and Boris was a great instructor.
(more)I enjoyed the day in Cairo. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Visiting the Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids with the camel ride was unforgettable. The sense of peace after a week of relaxation, yoga and new friends was wonderful, as were the views from the small and friendly hotel. The surrounding mountain area was calming and inspiring, a perfect place to chill out and get away from it all. (more)The highlight of course was swimming with wild dolphins out in a protected reef in the middle of beautiful clear blue sea. The resort at Shagra on the Red Sea coast in Egypt is definitely environmentally sensitive making much of its determination to protect the local reef. (more)Most memorable moments were scuba diving the beautifully unspoiled reefs of Ras Abu Galum, stargazing at night while sipping Bedouin tea, loving the wonderful camels and letting your mind remain silent while taking in the beautifully stark and wild scenery of South Sinai. (more)Diving the Islands was my favourite. The quad biking and evening in the desert was good too. The night sky in the desert was amazing. The staff at the Coral Coast Hotel were great, they made me a cake for my birthday and sang Happy Birthday in Arabic. They did origami arrangements with the towels.
