It was a privilege to be involved in the wild dog rescue at Thanda Reserve when a poacher's snare was caught around her neck. Seeing the biggest tuskers when at Tembe was another highlight and identifying them was great fun. 
(more)The most memorable part of the trip for me was seeing the enormous excitement and pleasure my 2 daughters (aged 16 and 12) derived from their holiday... The people, countryside, wildlife (elephants galore!) and cultural visits provided an exciting mix. (more)In Borneo we met and travelled with like minded families and individuals, who along with good humoured guides added enormously to the pleasure of the trip. It was excellent and would thoroughly recommend for those who are adventurous, like variety and don't mind a bit of roughing. Romania is a beautiful spectacular country, so from the moment I was travelling from Bucharest to Brasov I knew that I had come to a really excellent destination. I was very impressed by the people who run the sanctuary on a daily basis particularly Laci & Emi and Mateusz our driver!
