Excellent...All was thoroughly memorable, but probably the but Africat and Etosha were both superb (more)It was the most comfortable camping I have ever experienced. The tents were bigger than our bedroom, the food was incredible and the hot, private in-tent camp shower so refreshing. But we were truly out in the wild and could hear baboons near our camp and find elephant dung behind the tents. (more)
Parked in the middle of a herd of 20 feeding elephants who disappeared into the bush in the blink of an eye. That, plus the drinking sessions and intellectual debates (which got less intelligent and coherent as the wine flowed) with our host at Black Leopard Camp, Mike......
(more)Visiting the nearby village was a real eye-opener and an experience I could not have obtained any other way in a short holiday of three weeks in Tanzania. The Barbours were most welcoming and kind and I felt part of the family. (more)
Being introduced to local people and getting the chance to understand at least a bit about life in that area. The game drives were delightful, food delicious, the lodge comfortable and we were looked after with great hospitaliy and charm.
