Memorable parts? Just being in such a remote location, no internet, no emails, no phone signal! Totally peace and tranquility! Having the raft was totally fab to play around on too! Also seeing the kingfisher, catching fish (returned safely to their watery home!) having deer as neighbours & listening to the stags rutting. Tips? The cabin can hold 2 adults & 2 children comfortably as the upstairs twin room is very low - if you are a grown up with back problems......ouch! But more than... (more)Sally Cowburn

Memorable parts? Soledad and Charles were incredible hosts. The surroundings were beautiful, the house was incredibly comfortable, and we enjoyed the serene nature all around us. We also enjoyed visiting the llamas, who were quite hospitable! Tips? The location is off the beaten path, but well worth the effort if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing place to visit. Memorable parts? Very pleasant time on Sidmouth and Lyme Regis seafronts (easily accessible from the farmhouse) Tips? Buy all provisions at Greendale farm shop (a short drive away, open until 8pm), which has a superb fish counter. Memorable parts? It really was a beautiful holiday. We really loved the whole holiday. We liked the house we rented through Responsible Travel. The location was wonderful; the landscape was amazing, nice and quiet, in contact with nature. We liked hiking in the beautiful Lanzarote volcanic areas and along the paths of La Geria wine region. Memorable parts? Going on a day trip to a remote island organised by owner Tila and swimming on an empty beach. Tips? We'll remember the brightness of the stars on clear nights with no light pollution, watching bats flying around our lodge at sunset, waking late because it was so quiet and comfortable and the blackout blinds were so good, the ruby red cows really glowing like rubies at sunset, being content to just potter around the farm in the sunshine without getting bored. Idyllic...The steep narrow lane leading to this beautiful tranquil place - better than any fairgroud ride! The snow tipped mountains despite 25 deg temperature. The locals were so welcoming and friendly - the owners so accommodating. (more)Cheryle Jones

This is a traditional Andalusian village cottage, lightly adapted. It has genuine sense of age, and of being part of a village community. The bathing pool in the river (fed by springs so still full of water in the summer) is delightful. (more)Philip Luscombe

The 'Lochside Cottages' are in a beautiful spot, right on the shores of Loch Broom. Very peaceful and relaxing. Good access to hills in Assynt and Torridon for the more adventurous. (more)Elaine McAdam

The view from each window spectacular and so close to the loch that it was almost like being on a boat at times! Views changed with the stillness of the water or with the time of day and weather. Memorable parts? We were intrigued to stay in a house made of straw bales and to see how recycling/ reuse can be put into practice and good effect.- we were not disappointed! We found the photo albums showing the building of the house really interesting. Tips? If intending to take a trip by train whilst there be aware that station car park can be very busy. Memorable parts? Hiking to the yurt with our rucksacks from Genalguacil village using the old donkey path. It was difficult but very rewarding. The peace and tranquility of the woodland yurt was priceless, especially lying in the hammock taking in the scenery. The eco loo environment was suprisingly comfortable. Memorable parts? Beautiful walks along the Pembrokeshire coast where we saw lots of wildlife including choughs, peregrine falcons and dolphins. Tips? Use the service provided to order your food before you arrive. It was wonderful and we didn't have to lug food all the way from London! Local benefits? Memorable parts? Exploring Spain with my two children and seeing them learn to swim in the pool with the most amazing views. Finding Cantueso up in the mountains! It is a stunning location, great accommodation and the restaurant was such good value for money plus being dairy and gluten intolerant, they catered for me. Tips?
