The trip was 5 star born again, Liz and Mel were fantastically welcoming, extremely well informed on all aspects of the area and able to provide a very relaxing environment. (more)The location itself was very quiet and peaceful, but only a short journey to the facilities of the nearest town. It was amusing to be greeted by the free range chickens each time we went out. (more)The peace and tranquillity were sublime. A lovely property with all the mod cons (even a coffee machine) however in wonderful rural surrounds. The garden of the property was a delight. Beautiful accommodation and right next to a lovely beach with great and unpretentious Spanish restaurants... Excellent. As good as we had hoped and will go back with our children next year who will also love it!

(more)We loved the location of the straw bale cabin, right in the middle of a working farm, beautiful countryside all around. The only noises the sounds of the animals and birds. Most memorable was the fact that donkeys are still used in Spain to carry heavy loads!...Fantastic! Delia is very welcoming, friendly and helpful and the house is beautiful. (more)
We had a wonderful week- we were only sorry that we had to return home before the village fiesta which takes place next week end and for which we would love to have stayed. Maybe next year?
(more)Pretty good: if the area were more interesting we'd certainly go back to that cottage, as it was very good for 2 adults and 2 room-dwelling teenagers. But a week was enough for that part of Donegal. (more)We were intrigued to stay in a house made of straw bales and to see how recycling/ reuse can be put into practice and good effect.- we were not disappointed! We found the photo albums showing the building of the house really interesting.

Marks out of 10 - 10! Really enjoyed the set up of the cabin, very thoughtfully done with lots of information, loads of smashing little touches (loved the walkie talkies!) & fresh baked muffins as a welcome did it for me. The location was exquisite.
