Allow yourself time to just hang-out at the quinta. It's so relaxing and there are plenty of places to sit/lie while reading yet another good book. A true possibility to stop life for a bit. (more)Kerstin Lindley-Jones
We spent 10 nights and it was all really great, friendly and helpful hosts and beautiful, clean accommodation. (more)Jayne Ross
100%. Exactly what we as a family of three generations, age range from almost 3 to 71, were looking for. The freedom to wander their land, pick oranges, lemons and apricots. The beautiful swimming pool with a natural rock surround which all three generations used every single day. The meals were superb and the service outstanding. (more)Patricia Brenchley

Perfect!....The best thing about the holiday was having no internet connection & very little mobile coverage. It made it a total break away & allowed us to appreciate everything about the location of cottage & the amazing surrounding area. It was a complete break away which is what a holiday should be. Peneda Geres National Park accommodation in Portugal
Memorable parts? The construction of the houses is unique. Silence in the night is complete. The space utilization inside is admirable. Tips? Find out more about farmstays by reading these articles.

At Responsible Travel we’ve seen interest in UK farmstay holidays more than double in the past year which is great news for the carbon footprint as well as a sign that getting out and about in the beautiful British countryside is still one of our favourite pastimes. The 106% increase in enquiries for our UK farmstay accommodation collection - many of which are certified as organic - also reflects a growing trend for more and more UK farmers to turn to travel and tourism - 'agro tourism' - as a means of subsidizing incomes. So, as it’s the Soil Association's Organic Fortnight (6-21 September) we thought we’d showcase some of our top farmstay accommodations for the perfect autumn break and talk to the people behind them.
