A real eye-opener. Felt like we actually got a glimpse of what REAL Cuban life is like - the good and the bad aspects. Saw outstanding natural beauty and spoke to (and danced with!) local people who were happy to answer our questions. Overall a wonderful experience.

Best experience was Caleta Buena diving centre near Playa Giron - beautiful place and very friendly staff. Fantastic holiday - we would definitely return and we have recommended Cuba to our friends. (more)There were many moments, but if i had to choose it was whilst driving through Kruger Park a group of five elephants crossed the road, we stopped the car and waited for them to pass. The last elephant before crossing altogether raised its trunk at us as a sign of thank you for letting them cross. It was fantastic. (more)

Thanda Game reserve has to be the most memorable although it was hard to pick a specific part of it. It was fantastic and we couldn't have been treated better or had a more pleasant experience ... we will be back. (more)The Drakensberg mountains and Didima camp at Cathedral Peak provided a magical start to the holiday, with stunning scenery, fantastic hiking and lovely accommodation; we could easily have stayed much longer there. Most exciting - seeing lions, leopard and African wild dogs eating, sleeping or playing from only a few feet away. Most memorable - visit to Soweto...We had a really great holiday. Route 62 was well worth it, garden route was such a pleasure to drive. Excellent.

On an early morning bird-watching trail with a local guide, we were lucky enough to see 5 of these beautiful birds... feeding on wild avocados. We sat for an hour as the sun began to rise, driving away the cold night air as the clouds rolled up the forested mountain side. Quite amazing. (more)It was all memorable! The whales in Hermanus really caught our attention as they swam passed us and were literally 10 metres from us. Definitely no need to go out in a boat to see them!
