I am reborn! Simply the best holiday I have ever been on
Some great stories to tell the grandchildren. Would recommend to a friend
The views and location by far - and with only a few exceptions the friendliness of the people and their willingness to speak English without any hint of frustration by your lack of Italian.
The Hotel Capodimonte in Sorrento deserves a special mention for its first class service across the board but particularly for its restaurant.
Do not hesitate if you have the footwear for demanding terrain.
The walking guide is detailed and comprehensive - it is wise to... (more)Christine Higgins
There were endless memorable moments: tramping along the Soderlandsleden very well-waymarked trail, through the woods; exploring the islands at Stendorren and Savo; seeing creatures we hadn't see before, such as a slow worm, an otter, a white-tailed sea eagle... (more)Bronwen Davies
We were impressed with the beauty of Sweden and how easy it was to travel around. (more)Sharon Reardon
Excellent. No complaints at all and would definitely do it again. Credit should be given to Carmen Hamdi who left nothing to chance and organised our stay with extreme professionalism. (more)Andrew and Sharon Venables
Our experience with Responsible Travel was A++ and we would look first to them when considering other travel whether foreign or domestic. (more)Nancy Barnacle
Highlights included - the walk on Mljet in the national park up to the top, with stunning views out over lakes, hills and the Adriatic; the best tuna steak ever from the small restaurant in Lapad...the list goes on!
A fantastic choice which we thoroughly enjoyed, with good walks and excellent sandy beach swimming. (more)Tara Fenwick
Meeting the local farm workers as we walked through or passed their farms...what a lot of amazing characters.
Be prepared to walk quite a distance before coming across somewhere that you could buy a drink or snack.
Most definitely as all stays were in local B&Bs, farms or small pubs, and most meals were in these places.
One of the best walking trips we have had...great views, changing daily, friendly and interesting... (more)Denise Kibby
Experiencing rural Tuscany, in particular Buti and Calci.
Some parts of the walk are quite steep, be prepared for some scrambling!
Highly enjoyable. (more)Carol Quinn
The Picos mountains are wonderful, we enjoyed every aspect of the trip. The hotels were varied and all excellent as was the food.
We couldn't fault it. As an introduction to a new area, it was faultless. It felt as if we were in a very remote corner of the world! Our most interesting night was in a rural farm which has been in the same family for 400 years. (more)Mike Muir
A good holiday with some hard days walking - very fulfilling (more)Dave Hill
Fantastic! It was everything we hoped, and more. Our daughters are 13 and 11 years old, and we had a great time on our first family walking holiday. (more)Paul Arkle
This was a very well organised holiday, all of its aspects were effective and co-ordinated. In fact a thoroughly enjoyable week. (more)Nicholas Yates
The most memorable part was the whole hiking tour all together, being able to accomplish it as a family, experiencing the local hospitality and unbelievably splendid nature! We΄ve had the time of our lives! Found our paradise at Lake Como, and will return, for sure! (more)Jeanette Reinholdtsen
The walks were the most memorable - Ravello / Maiori to Minori / Path go Gods. Excellent! (more)Liora Haymann
This was one of the most scenic vacations we have taken. If you love sea views and picturesque coastlines, quiet walks through hillsides & valleys, wonderful
Italian food at the end of a day of hiking, you will love this trip. (more)Danielle Smith
Absolutely fantastic! Do it if you get the opportunity. You'll come home rejuvenated: the magnificent landscapes and foods as well as the daily exercise really are magic for the body and the mind. (more)Nadine Kadri

Discovering an entirely new area of spectacular mountain scenery, scenic mountain villages, traditional rural practices and historic sites - and above all, the sunshine and perfect peace! (more)Anne Jones
We really enjoyed the walks and being away from any crowds. Brilliant scenery.
Go for the better class accommodation. Three of the hotels we stayed in were only just alright but the other three were very good.
The economy is certainly supported by tourism.
We had a wonderful time.
I really did so enjoy my morning yoga sessions and learnt a lot to help me on my yoga journey. The yoga terrace was perfect...I do not have any suggestions as to how it could be better. The level of yoga was just right...not too easy or too difficult. I would certainly come again. (more)Wendy Hilary Evans Lothe
The most memorable part of the trip at to be the beautiful setting and air of peacefulness that we lived in for the few days. (more)Sarah Adam
It was fab! fab! Fab! Nicloa and Gary are wonderfull hosts, really knew the area and were warm and decent people. The people who attended were also really nice - I am thinking about going back in April!! (more)Elaine Austin
We have been on many walks throughout the world, however this is only our second self guided walk, but we thought it was particularly special. When you look at a map you realise that you are not that far from the plains of Bergamo and Milan, but from day 1 you step into a different world of peaceful landscapes, beautiful local villages (more)Alan Peggie
It was a fantastic holiday. I found the walks breath taking and deeply rewarding in terms of the amazing scenery and routes.
Walking was fabulous and the appetite for good local fare was a perfect, beer in hand, table spread for an evening meal to end our day...we were very well guided. (more)Hazell Penn
The walk the first day. The directions prepared by the holiday provider were terrific and the selections for the walk was great. It combined great sea views with a walk across the Down.
Ability to choose which of the four walks to take. Each were described well. My advice would be to not overdo it. Choose what you want and leave the others
I think so. We took the train down and the bus to where we hiked. We stayed at a great bed... (more)Richard Clark
Fabulous scenery - every walk was different. Real sense of achievement when we climbed to the Doldenhornhutte.
Proper boots and walking poles.
Stayed in a great family run hotel with local food and wine.
Our first walking holiday - we will do more (more)Amanda Weaver
During the course of the week one cannot fail to be impressed by the sights seen on the Thames Path, sadly the planned programme didn't allow time to visit these places.
To make sure that the daily walks are within their capabilities, even though the paths are on the level. The Thames path is well maintained but it was noticeable as you approached London, through London and to the east that a number of the signs had been vandalised/pointing in the wrong direction.... Sue and I had a wonderful time on this 8 Day Self Guided Great Ocean Walk. This was our first trip with the holiday provider and our first trip to Australia. We live in Seattle, Washington, USA and are looking forward to returning and doing more trips with holiday provider , which we highly recommend.
Before the trip, Amy at the holiday provider was very helpful and informative. We had requested dates which conflicted with a holiday weekend in Melbourne and did not permit... (more)Alan Sherbrooke
Superb!...Instantly relaxing as Erik met us and all organisation was taken care off. He is so friendly, relaxed and reliable that you immediately relax and enjoy the holiday. (more)Sally James
Brilliant holiday and would definitely return to complete the rest of the walks.
The whole experience of being in such a wonderful place to walk, with varying and spectacular views daily. Very peaceful (more)pauline hamilton
Most memorable was the lovely walks and the lovely weather. We enjoyed the house where we lived - As Tunel - spacious for 2 people. (more)Jenny Dunlop
Grazalema was an excellent centre for experiencing the wonderful walking, views, fauna and flora of this stunning reserve. The village itself was delightful and we were made to feel most welcome. (more)John and Meg Tyler
The walking is very well described and on relatively easy paths/ tracks so that we were walking a grade above that we had expected with no real difficulties. Dave and Gill are very helpful in providing other walks if you want something easier/ more difficult. (more)Iain Murray
We especially enjoyed the last day when we walked in sunshine under clear blue skies high into the hills & had wonderful views to even higher hills, some with snow on them.
We were bowled over by the unspoilt Romanian countryside. No tractors or combined harvesters, just people creating hay stacks using pitch forks, horses
and wooden carts being used for transport and horses dragging logs down from the forest. Each place we stayed was interesting in its own right and visits to
the Black church in Brasov and Bran Castle added to the holiday.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, we didn't see any bears on the walk. We found out that... (more)Liz McCarthy
