Cotswolds bed and breakfast near Chipping Norton, England
This was our second visit to The Cotswolds (last over 4 years ago) and we were charmed anew. Too often our holiday experience has been such we're ready to return home after a few days, but on this occasion a week passed quickly, happily, relatively comfortably. (more)Elisabeth Marciniw
It was an excellent location. Very quiet B/B. Very friendly hosts and good breakfasts. Room well equiped with everything we needed. (more)Anne Grant

Walkers accommodation in the Scottish Highlands, Scotland
Memorable parts? The hospitality shown by the hosts Rebecca and Andy, who welcome you warmly into their home. The meals were fabulous and the packed lunches the best yet. Tips? Stay longer than we did, do more walking than we did, it will be worth it. Local benefits? Yes - we walked into Aviemore, and took the local steam train back, had a drink in the local pub, bought goodies from the local store and visited a nearby village tearoom. Overall rating? Excellent,... (more)Stephen Brown

This is an amazing holiday and exactly what we were looking for. There was plenty to do for the 5 days we stayed, and all right from the B&B without the need for a car. The views were consistently amazing and we could not have hoped for any more. (more)Katy Woolf
Most memorable? Going up to 5 fingers and seeing the spectacular view after seeing the Ice Caves which were spectacular in a different way... Fantastic. (more)Margaret O'Brien

We enjoyed the idea of doing everything locally with local people and contributing to the local economy. Above all, we felt really well taken care of with much attention to detail. (more)Tammy Railton
Difficult to pinpoint just one element of the holiday. As a lover of the outdoors, I enjoyed the guided walk and picnic into the local Baou hills but then I also enjoyed the relaxed, fun and informative guided walk of the old town of Nice. (more)Louise Harris

Cefalu bed & breakfast accommodation in Sicily, Italy
The location is fantastic, quiet, very pretty, close to the sea and close to the mountains. From the balcony you have a wonderful view over the bay of Cefalu. There is a big garden with orange trees as well as a very nice court yard right in front of the house...Great! We would immediately go again. (more)Susanne Fuchsberger
The rooms are quite lovely, only surpassed by the views of the sea and the Madonie Mountains. I also had the pleasure of visiting a shepherd making cheese on a hillside and of visiting the local Santa Anastasia Winery, where they give an outstanding tour. (more)Catherine Kane
Picking lemons in the lemon grove by the house with my four year old and making lemonade with her in the kitchen upstairs was the most memorable part. The kitchen has beautiful views of the mountains. (more)Marcia Grima

Boscastle bed & breakfast, Cornwall, England
The breakfasts were first class, we particularly enjoyed the lovely fresh locally smoked fish and the freshly squeezes orange juice, not to mention the marmalade made by Geoff, all cheerfully served by Shelley. Our room was nicely decorated and spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed...Excellent. (more)Christine Durow
The B&B was fantastic from the wonderfully comfy and stylish rooms to the individual breakfasts cooked to order. Our hosts were extremely helpful and had loads of local information and knowledge. (more)Vanessa Akers
10/10...My stay as a whole was completely memorable. The room was wonderful, the whole place spotless and the attention to detail was like nothing I had seen before. The owners were 2 of the nicest people I have met and went out of there way to be as helpful as possible. (more)Nicola Shanks

Most memorable was tartiflette eaten by candlelight (cooked by the concert pianist and his wife who run the refuge) and the sound of the river in its rocky bed as we fell asleep. (more)Rachael Barber
The most memorable aspect of our time in the Mercantor Park was the stunning guided walk we did with Mel. Perfect weather and spectacular mountain scenery coupled with no worries about route finding and safety made our walk to the top of a 2,800m peak a perfect birthday celebration for us. Very good, Liz and Mel were excellent hosts. I am very likely to return. (more)Graham Jeffs

Snowdonia guesthouse & B&B
Memorable parts? The most memorable part was actually getting a rear wheel puncture down a lovely country lane and not being able to get the back wheel off to repair it! However, equally as memorable was the fantastic Welsh hospitality when a couple looked after our bikes while another lady - totally unknown to us - took us back to our accom to collect our car. Really friendly people! Tips? Be more prepared than we were!! We went on a cycling and walking weekend and thought we were... (more)Monica Stephens

There are so many positive things to say about this course – the supportive leader, the fantastic home made food, the beautiful highland scenery…but the happiest memories for me are of the people I met. (more)Kim Naylor-Vane

Northumberland farmstay holiday, England
Our stay was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, David and Jackie. From the welcoming tea and biscuits on arrival, to our departure, all was everything you could possibly wish for. The setting is absolutely stunning, with views over the owners farmland. The accommodation is spotless, and it obvious from the many nice touches, that a lot of thought and effort has gone into every aspect of this very personal B&B. (more)Peter Carney

Wooler bed & breakfast accommodation, Northumberland
Memorable parts? Glorious sunshine for five days in Northumberland and walking in the Cheviot Hills, only seeing one other person in 5 hours. The huge variety and quantity of easily observable wildlife on the walks and the totally empty sandy beaches. Very welcoming owners, well appointed accommodation. Tips? You can expect 1950s volume of traffic on the roads once you get north of Newcastle.... such a refreshing experience. It adds so much to the relaxation benefits of the short... (more)Helene Kerr

Crieff accommodation in Perthshire, Scotland
Memorable parts? The lovely spacious, attractive room. The breakfasts and packed lunches. The hospitality of Katy and David. Tips? If possible eat at the accommodation. Crieff did not seem to have many restaurants that served good quality food and less so if you are a vegetarian like my partner. Local benefits? Yes - we ate and did some basic shopping in Crieff and took the bus to Perth as advised by our host’s literature. Overall rating? I really enjoyed staying with... (more)Steve Brown
