Skye and the Inner Hebrides cruise, Scotland
Memorable parts? We were a small and delightful group of 6 travelers and 4 crew, including the skipper and a fabulous chef. We all got to know one another very well. The boat was cozy and comfortable, the landscapes and cloudscapes, sublime; and the day trips and hikes, especially our visit to Iona and its sacred and ancient abbey were vitamin C for the spirit. Memorable parts? Walking the fabulous Quirang loop trail. Tips? Leave enough time for driving the single track roads on beautiful Skye. Getting around takes longer than you'd think from the map. Local benefits? The b and b owners are careful with resources. Overall rating? I'd happily go back to Skye for more walking (and eating - the quality of the restaurants in Breakish and Carbost surprised us). (more)Jennifer Duschenes
