Wow! where would we start? Muba - a great and knowledgeable guide with a tremendous sense of humour, Jackson a terrific cook and again a great sense of humour. Stumbling upon elephants whilst walking to the viewpoint at the Serengeti park gates.

The whole trip was unforgettable - especially loved the rural parts we visited and stayed in and the various transport and accommodation - much fun and very unique! Every day waking up was like Christmas morning, so exciting.

Most memorable? Climbing up the Annapurna Mountains. It evoked all sorts of emotions; fear, apprehension, joy, excitement and relief. One of the most memorable experiences in my life and I will look back on it with fond memories.

The guides in each city were excellent, and the group guide Lucy was just tremendous - excellent ambassador for both the tour operator and China! The kids really enjoyed it and got to see some things that exposed them how other people live just to survive.

Practically all of it however the most exciting part was when we went kayaking on higher waterfalls. We give it a high rate since this was the best holiday we have had, kids loved it as well and we consider re doing it, maybe in a different season.

The most memorable part of my holiday: waking up on trek and looking out of my tent at the Annapurnas with the rising sun catching the peaks and the truly charming and helpful Nepalese people.

Kruger National Park was the most exciting - we saw absolutely everything there was to see - Rhino, Hippo, Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Crocodiles, Hyenas, Baboons, Water Buffalo, Impala, Wart Hogs, Kudu, Springbok and Birds too numerous to mention.

Amazing holiday. Very varied and interesting with a good mix of people of all ages and nationalities. We saw all of the top sights in the area and good trips were organised e.g. horse riding.

We were immersed in this really poor country, with the hint of past traumatic occupation and wars, and received the most generous opening of hearts from this 80% buddhist country.

This was a brilliant holiday for myself and my teenage sons. All of us have rekindled an interest in Egyptian history. There was lots to do and see, in fact never a dull moment.

Most memorable was trekking in Chang Mai, without a doubt. The itinerary was amazing and we'll never forget the bamboo rafts being made right in front of us, the elephant trek and the hospitality of the hill tribes.

I loved the whole week and all the activities involved. I had very little expectation or knowledge about fleece or felting but learnt an enormous amount and came away loving the felt piece I created. The highlands are conducive to creativity!

Tanzania was better than I could ever imagine! So many incredible animals and birds and the biggest crocs I have ever seen. For three nights we camped about 70 metres from the river Mara (and said crocs!)... The best I have ever been on.

As a family, the sense of teamwork was really noticeable... Occasionally we managed to stop the loud singing from our children and caught sight of kingfishers, herons, cormorants and all manner of wildlife... A fantastic family holiday – so glad we booked.

We will always remember how gracious our hosts were, the wonderful food, and the fun loving spirit of all the crew.

For solo travellers or family adventurers, small group holidays are an excellent way to see any country. We sent Jerrine, one of our helpdesk experts, on a group adventure in India to see first hand what a group holiday is all about. "Having always travelled independently on my globe trekking adventures I was curious to see how a small group adventure would compare. India has always been high on my must-do places to visit so I was delighted to take up the challenge. Here´s a little bit about my adventures and what a small group holiday is really like...
Always happy when the flight is over, but usually apprehensive about tackling the language barriers and over-zealous taxi drivers I was more than happy to be greeted with a smile by an Exodus representative. I was soon whisked off to the hotel where I met what was to be my new family for the next 8 days. .
