Fantastic! Amazing! Awe inspiring! The trip of a lifetime! Our most memorable moments were our interactions with the local people. We will forever hold in our hearts how warm and inviting everyone was. (more)Teresa VandenBosch

Holiday in Peru & Inca Trail
As each day passed it became my favourite day so far! The Inca Trail of course and the island home stay have to be my top two. The holiday was made all the more memorable because of the great group we were travelling with and of course our guide Dante. (more)Helen Leng
Sitting on top of WaynaPicchu looking at the cloud forest and mountains was the highlight. (more)Joanna Tupper

Atacama and Patagonia hiking holiday
Memorable parts? Trekking with the most amazing mountain backdrop for several days, in Torres del Paine, culminating in the climb up to Las Torres themselves; there just aren't the words to do this place justice. Tips? Do some walking beforehand, if you want to get the most from it. Also, don't forget a camera, or you will be truly sorry! Local benefits? Since we stayed, ate and drank locally, this should be a positive thing. Minimized environmental impacts is a bit tricky,... (more)Chris Senior

Cape Town to Victoria Falls small group tour
Memorable parts? Driving with Makoros (traditional wood boot) to our wild camping in the Okavango Delta observed by hippos. Tips? Take thermal underwear with you when going on this trip in Africa's winter. The temperature at night was sub zero and morning/evenings were cold as well. Local benefits? Yes, we contributed to the local economy and tried to leave only foot prints. Overall rating? Even I am not reborn I would give 5 stars. It was one of my best holidays... (more)Sigrid Pach

Greenland sailing holiday
Memorable parts? The scenery along the coast and fjords of West Greenland was breathtakingly beautiful and constantly changing as we made our slow way north. The weather was bitterly cold but bright and the sun felt warm when we found a sheltered nook on the deck. The beauty of the area was just magical. Tips? Take lots of layers but don't worry too much about buying lots of expensive technical clothing for the trip. Think about what you do have in your wardrobe - an old pair... (more)Christine Symes

Small group tours to Japan
Memorable parts? Walking in the countryside - seeing parts of Japan that I would never have discovered on my own and being guided by a reliable expert. Asuka, Dorogawa and the Mitarai Gorge were particularly memorable. Also - wonderful exotic food, charming ryokans and soothing onsens. (And the company of like-minded fellow travellers.) Tips? Ensure that you are fit enough to do the walking required, get a really good rucksack and carry as little as possible. There are drinks and... (more)Una Dinning

Patagonia overland tour, Villarica
Memorable parts? Seeing the Moreno glacier and hiking in Torres del Paine. Tips? Make sure you have appropriate footwear (hiking boots). There is no need to bring a sleeping bag as these can be hired at the time (and they are good sleeping bags). Local benefits? The only benefit to local people would be the custom of staying in hotels/eating in restaurants. We did make a conscious effort not to leave rubbish and I suppose 30+ people using 1 bus instead of various means of... (more)Frank Sperling

Excellent. One of my favourite holidays - I'd loved the Peloponnese when I went once as a child and it all lived up to my rose-tinted memories of the place. Two of us in the group had studied Classics which was our reason for going, and we weren't disappointed by the archaeological guides who took us round or the amount of time we had to explore for ourselves. As a company they were great at making sure we were taken care of and a great holiday. (more)Naranee Ruthra-Rajan

Swimming in mountain pools and lakes, from the breathtakingly cold to the sublimely warm. (more)Jane Barnes
The Kayak trips on Lake Skadar blew me away. The relative solitude combined with the impressive landscapes on both the Montenegrin and Albanian sides of the lake made it one of the most beautiful places I've ever been....I really couldn't have wished for a better holiday. (more)Mandy Reynolds

I think everyone who went on this trip would return in the future given the chance. I will certainly be back next year. Overall a great holiday and learning experience. (more)Malcolm Park
The holiday exceeded my expectations by a country mile. Martin and Geraldine are two of the loveliest people I have ever met and their knowledge and genuine passion for photography really left an impression. As it was my first photography workshop I was concerned it might not be for me; now my concern is how anyone else will be able to live up to what this operator has to offer, after a truly amazing 10 days. (more)Nicola Heffernan
My first photography holiday so I cannot compare but as a trip it was great with the added benefit of learning so much and seeing so much and enjoying the entire experience. (more)Ardath Wolcott

Mongolia adventure holiday, off the beaten track
Memorable parts? Travelling across vast plains in the Gobi, with no roads no buildings no artificial light, and stopping to listen to the silence. The immense blue sky. The generosity and kindness of Mongolians. Thunder and lightening echoing around the mountains while we watched from our tents. The unexpected - the tour leader was flexible and a number of times we took unscheduled opportunities to see wildlife, talk to local people, find out about the election that was going on while we... South East China photography holiday
Memorable parts? Oktay gave me a wonderful introduction to China from all his (and his assistant Sandy's) experience. He knew just the right places to go for photography and the right people to meet. Discover Cuba holiday, 15 days
Memorable parts? It is impossible to choose one specific part of our holiday as the most exciting or memorable. The whole trip was just outstanding from the beginning to the end! Firstly we would like to mention the tour company concept by using small groups - we were only four in our group - which gave us full value for our money and created a great atmosphere while traveling. Secondly, using private homes instead of hotels allowed us to get to know local people. Their friendliness and hospitality... (more)Sonja Stromdahl

Environmentally, the solar-powered bushcamp was definitely the most ecological of the 3 camps we stayed at. Overall rating? A truly unique experience. Great service pre-booking.... For solo travellers or family adventurers, small group holidays are an excellent way to see any country. We sent Jerrine, one of our helpdesk experts, on a group adventure in India to see first hand what a group holiday is all about. "Having always travelled independently on my globe trekking adventures I was curious to see how a small group adventure would compare. India has always been high on my must-do places to visit so I was delighted to take up the challenge. Here´s a little bit about my adventures and what a small group holiday is really like... Always happy when the flight is over, but usually apprehensive about tackling the language barriers and over-zealous taxi drivers I was more than happy to be greeted with a smile by an Exodus representative. I was soon whisked off to the hotel where I met what was to be my new family for the next 8 days. .
