Isle of Mull and west coast of Scotland cruise
Memorable parts? The whole of our holiday was wonderful. The crew were all great, friendly and so helpful. The food was delicious every meal, and plentiful too! The cruise was the best way to see some of Scotland’s beautiful scenery and wildlife. The only fault, we wished it didn't have to end! Tips? Don't forget your binoculars. Sensible shoes and a waterproof for when up on deck and the weather damp. Local benefits? I am not sure about these things as we didn't buy any... (more)julie Clease

South Africa Safari holiday, 14 days
10/10 it was amazing. We were so well looked after and treated as part of the family at our main resort. it was very hectic as we stayed at 6 locations so it involved a lot of travelling. but now we are back, we realise how much we packed in and how much we saw. it was a trip of a lifetime for us, so we really appreciate all the things we gained from our trip and are now saving hard to go again!! Kayaking holiday in Indonesia, Komodo Dragon expedition
The holiday consisted of two parts, the first was sea kayaking around Komodo National park and the second part was trekking in the northern jungle of Sumatra. The main highlights included seeing Komodo Dragons, orangutans, elephant trekking, the scenery the people I meet and the landscapes. All made the holiday excellent. (more)Steve Bosworth
Far too many to mention, but I'll have a go: sleeping on deserted beaches, a school of dolphins passing just in front of our kayak, seeing a shark while snorkelling, the sound of two very large komodo dragons running through the undergrowth in our direction, great food and an outstanding local guide. (more)Liz Kalton

Fantastic, but tough going at times! (more)Bridie Brittain

Oman small group tour
Memorable parts? 'Most memorable' is a hard call - I lost count of the number of times we said, 'Isn't that amazing!' Going to St George's Basilica for the Christmas Eve service on 6th January. How the stars blazed when we camped 12,000 feet up in the Simien mountains. Staying in a traditional house in the old quarter in the Muslim town of Harar. Meeting the Scottish lady who is setting up a restaurant in Lalibela. Tips? Take full advantage of the tour operators knowledge and experience... (more)Helen Yapp

Memorable parts? Meeting the friendly peoples of Burma. Visiting the Elephant Sanctuary, feeding the elephants and giving them a scrub in the river and enjoying a tasty lunch at the centre. Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro tour
Memorable parts? There were a number of great parts to the holiday and it is impossible to single out one simply due to the diversity of the experiences we had. The whole holiday was amazing, but if I had to name the top three things I would say (in no particular order!) going to Iguazu Falls (especially the boat ride under the falls!), the boat trip we went on in Paraty and just being in Rio. Tips? If you want to see Buenos Aries or Rio (and I suggest they're worth seeing!!) then... (more)Carol Clutton

Brilliant! It’s exactly what a lot of women need during stressful times and it’s a fantastic environment to make friends and support other people. Memorable parts? Visiting Vinales Tips? Take some time out to explore the surrounding country. Nature is beautiful. Make sure you learn some Spanish before going. The families you stay with do not necessarily speak any English. Local benefits? Hard to say Overall rating? It was nice and relaxing. Memorable parts? The morning spent at Tikal in Guatemala was excellent. This activity is definitely best done in the early morning light as it gets very warm and less pleasant to walk in the jungle after 10am. Tips? This is quite a short tour for the distance covered. I would suggest looking at tours staying at least 2 nights in most places in order to really get a sense of the country and culture Local benefits? Somewhat. The use of local transport in some instances certainly... (more)Diana Urbina
