Laguna Torca farmstay accommodation in Chile
Memorable parts? Soledad and Charles were incredible hosts. The surroundings were beautiful, the house was incredibly comfortable, and we enjoyed the serene nature all around us. We also enjoyed visiting the llamas, who were quite hospitable! Tips? The location is off the beaten path, but well worth the effort if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing place to visit. Local benefits? With the location in a small community, we definitely felt that we made a small contribution... (more)Sian Wayt Wingerup

Holiday in Peru & Inca Trail
As each day passed it became my favourite day so far! The Inca Trail of course and the island home stay have to be my top two. The holiday was made all the more memorable because of the great group we were travelling with and of course our guide Dante. (more)Helen Leng
Sitting on top of WaynaPicchu looking at the cloud forest and mountains was the highlight. (more)Joanna Tupper
Walking the Inca Trail was the hardest thing I have ever done but the exhilaration and euphoria of the whole group as we walked through the Sun Gate is something money cannot buy and a memory that will last forever. (more)Christine Ingham
From £3095 - £3679 including UK flights
Atacama and Patagonia hiking holiday
Memorable parts? Trekking with the most amazing mountain backdrop for several days, in Torres del Paine, culminating in the climb up to Las Torres themselves; there just aren't the words to do this place justice. Tips? Do some walking beforehand, if you want to get the most from it. Also, don't forget a camera, or you will be truly sorry! Local benefits? Since we stayed, ate and drank locally, this should be a positive thing. Minimized environmental impacts is a bit tricky,... (more)Chris Senior

Patagonia overland tour, Villarica
Memorable parts? Seeing the Moreno glacier and hiking in Torres del Paine. Tips? Make sure you have appropriate footwear (hiking boots). There is no need to bring a sleeping bag as these can be hired at the time (and they are good sleeping bags). Local benefits? The only benefit to local people would be the custom of staying in hotels/eating in restaurants. We did make a conscious effort not to leave rubbish and I suppose 30+ people using 1 bus instead of various means of... (more)Frank Sperling

Peru family adventure holiday
Memorable parts? We were hiking for few hours through beautiful Inca trail and at the end we had seen Machu Picchu in clouds and then in a full sun. Tips? Take good rain gear when you travel during wet season. We were there in December and weather was good, but sometimes we got surprises. Local benefits? I think we benefit local people. We visited places stayed in hotels, bought souvenirs. It seems, money we spend stayed there. I hope money collected in tickets will be... (more)Iwona Warszawska

Bolivia and Peru tour
Memorable parts? Inca Trail! Making it and seeing Machu Picchu. Tips? Bring clothing for a variety of weather. Be prepared for early mornings, the possibility of altitude sickness... The more in shape you are, the more you will get out of the trip as well! Local benefits? Yes, I think the homestays were great, and the trip encompassed ecotourism, especially in the Amazon. Overall rating? Great. (more)Rachel Carbonell

Peru and Galapagos adventure holiday
Fantastic -it was everything we expected. Sometimes reality does not meet expectations but not so this time and we are both fairly well travelled. Everything went like clock work. (more)Jennifer Parks
The view of Machu Picchu from the Sun Gate after a gruelling 4-day trek and the tameness of the animals in the Galapagos were the most memorable parts. (more)Glenys France
Galapagos Islands really are as good as expected - amazing wildlife - almost too easy to get great photos as the wildlife is so obliging but I am not complaining! (more)Andy McDaid

South America overland tour
Memorable parts? Iguassu Falls the Uyuni salt flats and the Inca Trail. Tips? Donít go with this operator and donít worry about the language barrier. Local benefits? In parts but I think it could have been better in particular on the Brazilian leg (I did the southern cross with this operator) where I donít think there was any effort to interact with the locals. Overall rating? Overall it was an amazing experience I think the trip needs a few tweaks and if Iím honest... (more)Tim Antill

Ecuador ecolodge, Napo Wildlife Center
Most memorable was walking through the Amazon with one of the Sani guides (whose father happened to have established the Sani Lodge), in the rain, through the mud, finding the most incredible birds, reptiles, insects and plants. (more)Julia Saurazas
The tapir emerged from the forest and remained at the clay lick drinking water for an extended period of time. Simply remarkable. (more)Robert Roberto
We loved the Eco-lodge that we stayed at, the Napo Wildlife Center. It was beautiful, well appointed and our guides were absolutely top notch. We learned an incredible amount and got to experience a wonderful place with wonderful people. (more)Elizabeth Essner

Galapagos cruises
The first day arriving in Galapagos and seeing the sea turtles, snorkelling, swimming next to sealions was the most memorable part of this holiday. (more)Miss D.D
The most memorable parts were seeing and swimming with many of the wildlife including penguins, sea lions, dolphins. Driving through ocean surrounded by volcanoes on all sides. (more)Matt Hayden
Visiting one of the most unique places left on earth, and seeing how protective tours and the park authorities are keeping it that way, were most memorable. Amazing and excellent - truly a trip of a lifetime, and one of the few times one can genuinely use the word 'awesome'. (more)Ayesha Kyari
From US $2100 - US $4500 excluding flights
Peru tailor made holiday, Machu Picchu & Tambopata
Memorable parts? Taking boat trips on the side tributaries of the Amazon! We loved seeing all the animals. Tips? Allow more time at the Ankatera Maccu Picchu Hotel. There is a lot to do there and we didn't allow any time there (except for seeing the ruins). Local benefits? The Amazon portion of our trip benefited local villages and supported conservation of primates. The time in the Sacred Valley definitely benefited local cooperatives and individuals. Overall rating? 9/10 (more)Nadia Al-Alawi

Quito to La Paz overland tour
Memorable parts? Trekking the Inca trail was fantastic, it exceeded all my expectations. The porters were superhuman and the tour leaders superb. It is the best experience I have had so far. Tips? Listen to the safety tips of your tour leaders regarding valuables. Things did go missing on public transport with some of my travelling buddies. Local benefits? We visited local communities and bought direct from them. Stayed with families to experience their daily life. Overall... (more)Yuetmui Chung

South America tour, coast to coast
For me it was a life long goal to see Machu Picchu, which no picture or video can replace the memories logged in my head of the sheer size and awe of this place. But also whilst travelling through other countries, the beautiful landscapes just amaze you. (more)Michael North
Every day was a wonderful experience during our stay in Brazil and Ecuador but I guess the Galapagos will be the most memorable. (more)Ann Hammersley
There were so many memorable parts! - Rio, Cusco, Iguacu falls, Machu Picchu, the rainforest, etc. Overall a brilliant cross section of South American sights and culture. (more)Brian Wright

Patagonia adventure holiday, tailor made
Memorable parts? Eco-camping in Torres del Paine Tips? Beware. If you are not on a direct flight back to the UK - we changed planes at Madrid - you may have to change terminal and the authorities will take any liquid duty free off you. I'm still cross about my vintage Malbec! Local benefits? Yes, definitely. All 3 points. Overall rating? (more)Patricia Stott

Chile tailor made holiday, Atacama Desert
The best thing was to to learn about the Mapuche, an indigenous tribe, who live in Chile. The food was unbelievably good.. (more)Victoria Edwards
The visit to the Atacama Desert area including the high Andes was special for me, and spending time with the indigenous farmer was really interesting. (more)Dave Thalrose
We had a fantastic time. Personally, the most memorable parts of the holiday were staying with the Pewenche family who were fantastic hosts, and stargazing in the Atacama with the Lickan Antay people. This was my first experience of community based tourism and I honestly believe it is the future of travelling. (more)Joe Davis

Bolivia adventure holiday
Memorable parts? Visiting the salt flats - they were beautiful, and totally original. A real experience! Tips? Insist that your tour leader comes with you on the 3 day tour of the Uyuni 4x4 tour - the drivers are completely irresponsible (drinking beer at breakfast, driving dangerously, driving the vehicles when they are not roadworthy), and rude (not listening to the group's concerns regarding the above, and threatening to leave people stranded in the middle of the tour), that it... Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro tour
Memorable parts? There were a number of great parts to the holiday and it is impossible to single out one simply due to the diversity of the experiences we had. The whole holiday was amazing, but if I had to name the top three things I would say (in no particular order!) going to Iguazu Falls (especially the boat ride under the falls!), the boat trip we went on in Paraty and just being in Rio. Tips? If you want to see Buenos Aries or Rio (and I suggest they're worth seeing!!) then... (more)Carol Clutton

Honeymoons in Argentina & Uruguay
I think the highlights for us were the wine tasting in Mendoza and also the Estancia on the last day which was truly out of this world. (more)Jennifer Warnett
The best thing was the mix: Mendoza, Buenos Aires, Josť Ignacio. Perfect mix between seeing and experiencing new things and just relaxing. The wine spa treatment in Mendoza, the hotel Legado Mitico in Buenos Aires as well as the relaxingly not-crowded beach near Posada del Faro in Josť Ignacio all immediately come to mind. Wonderful! (more)Katrin Nyman-Metcalf
...we were blown away by the Iguazu Falls which were just amazing! Also spending my birthday on a schooner, with bubbly and cake provided by the operator, was a lovely surprise, and I felt very spoilt! (more)Kathryn Huddle

Felipe went over and above to help, advise and design a great holiday. We appreciated his efficiency and local knowledge, which we received from beginning to end. Thank-you for helping us discover a less commercialised tour and pointing us into the direction that other travellers would not have had the opportunity to experience. You set up a truly unforgettable journey for us. We had the time of our lives! (more)Habibah Ahmed

Ecuador adventure holiday, tailor made
Fantastic!!!! The best parts were tubing down the Napo River Valley! Also, enjoyed tremendously all the laughter on the ropes course, the river rafting and the hospitality and GREAT FOOD. (more)lynn mahan
Absolutely superb from start to finish. The operator was outstanding in making us an itinerary which was perfect for the amount of time we had to spend there, and we loved working with them before, during and after our holiday. We felt that the range of experiences, activities and accommodations enabled us to really experience a bug chunk of Ecuador and its culture in only two weeks. (more)Cara Roberts

10 out of ten. Our guide was Richard Anchante. He was excellent, unfailingly helpful, full of local info and stories and very good English. Please commend him to the operator. (more)Barbara Wagstaff

Peru Amazon Rainforest family adventure
Memorable parts? Machu Picchu was absolutely incredible. It lived up to our expectations and exceeded them in every way. Tips? Check the weather before you go. Different regions have very different temperatures and dressy clothes are not needed anywhere - even at very nice restaurants it seems. Order your soles before you go and have enough on hand for tips, purchases, meals, etc. We'd recommend $500 USD. Local benefits? We feel our holiday benefited local people in the... (more)Dee bertino

Huayhuash circuit trek in Peru
Memorable parts? The whole trek was beautiful - with amazing scenery at every step. Tips? Ensure you have a warm (preferably down) sleeping bag and warm layers for the evenings. Local benefits? Yes, there was much consideration for ensuring that our 'footprints' were not left as a scar on the landscape. Overall rating? One of the best treks I have undertaken with the intimacy of the mountain range always close by. (more)Linda Skelton
From £2849 - £3299 including UK flights
Galapagos activity holiday
Memorable parts? The SEA LIONS are great encounters. Especially on San Cristobal Island being such close proximity with them on beaches is almost unheard of anywhere else in the world! That is a real specialty of the trip! Walking the Volcano surfaces on Isabel Island was amazing too! Tips? Organised tours don't seem to include the chance to be able to Scooba Dive with the Sea Lions or other sea life, so best to book that separately by extending your holiday by 1 day or skip the...
