The most memorable parts were: felting, listening to the storyteller by the fireplace, visiting Glen Affric and the waterfalls, delicious food. It was an unforgettable week of active relaxation!
(more)If there exists a heaven on earth, I guess this should be the place - you really can reach the sky (if you are sitting on horse-back of course) and you have a circular (360 degree) view over 100 kms wide. (more)The venues we were taken to were good, we got an overview of the countryside around Torrox. Food was generally good and socially it was great...A great experience in a great location. (more)The most memorable and exciting part of the holiday was drinking nettle beer as the sun went down on the Saturday night. We'd had a busy day digging, foraging and cooking, so seeing it all come together at the end of the day with a crackling fire and that beautiful view of the valley below was truly memorable. (more)I already miss the smell of the mountains. It's a lovely, lovely place. If you can, ask for the room with the big shower upstairs as having a shower facing the mountain scenery was amazing. (more)I loved the whole process of gathering natural materials (lichen, fungus, nettles, birch bark, etc) to dye the wool, the dyeing itself and the amazing array of colours we created with single and secondary dyes.
