general atmosphere most congenial. (more)The most memorable part was going out with a research vessel from Lossiemouth (Scotland) and watching how the sonars for dolphin research were replaced. Along the way, as we sailed past all the stunning beaches and caves, Cinzia gave us plenty of information about the geography and nature along the coast, but all in a very humorous and fun way. Once in the crystal clear water we were lucky enough to see a couple of weird and wonderful creatures. Francis and Shibu were great fun and we all enjoyed a beer together after finishing a ride. There were many highlights, but the most vivid memory is of arriving at the Spice Plantation after a tough ride up the mountains through monsoon rain. (more)The most memorable part was without doubt the 13, yes 13 tiger sightings during our stay in Kanha National Park for 5 1/2 days in December 2008. This included a very young tiger cub!! A great privilege to see one tiger let alone more than one. (more)
The good memories started from our very first contact with responsible travel. They put us in touch with Mark and his wife and the wonderful chateau they live in which became our B@B for 3 nights. I felt we were visiting friends at the wineries because of Mark's relationship with the small vintners. (more)

Excellent and truly memorable... We had a trek up into the hills on the back of a massive bull elephant, then watched a display of his strength moving logs, then had the enormous privilege of scrubbing him down afterwards. (more)
Most memorable was trekking through tea estates and then climbing to mountain tops to see the vast landscape revived our spirits.
