We didn't see another soul on the 3 main hikes that we did and getting to the top of Cerro del Buitre and seeing all the mountains around us was amazing. The only real noise was the sound of the snow melting and falling off the trees below us.
As the hotel is in the middle of nowhere we went to bed every night with the blinds open so we got to wake up to the sun rising over the olive groves around us - beautiful!

Brilliant, enjoyed every minute...the best part was climbing the small hill out from the cortijo, wondering where the village was, and suddenly, there it was, below us, tucked up in its hollow amongst the hills. (more)
Most memorable? Following the leopard going through the thick reeds of the dried riverbed... Being in the very middle of the 400 buffalos herd moving to another grazing field... Two gracious cheetah males crossing the tar road...

Really wonderful! It exceeded my expectations. Steve could not have been more helpful in coordinating and supporting us in this holiday. We loved the places we stayed, enjoyed the people and small towns. The food was excellent. The hikes we great. I felt like we really got to see the country and small communities. (more)

The pre dinner drinks and craic (good conversation) and the dinners cooked by Debbie and Mark were always something to look forward especially when the legs were tiring and the backside a little sore! (more)
The holiday was fantastic. The highlight of the trip was, without doubt, the three days we spent getting up close and personal with elephants. It was a truly magical experience, and a privilege to interact so closely with such noble and intelligent creatures. Unforgettable.

The most memorable day was our day off. We were asked what we would like to do and everyone asked to go cycling for the day! We went off and did two amazing downhill runs which combined some uphill climbs that I would never have thought I could have been able to do. (more)
On leaving our room at Serendip which led out straight onto the front veranda... we saw that the garden was full of fireflies. We were then led to our table out the back by the plunge pool where we would be eating dinner. The manager had arranged and lit dozens of tea lights around the garden. Priceless.
