The most memorable part was driving with Makoros (traditional wood boot) to our wild camping in the Okavango Delta observed by hippos.

The location is perfect for sightseeing in Sintra, cliff walking, forest trails, beach visits, day trip to Lisbon or Cascais, good and reasonable eating options...the perfect cocktail of good accommodation , helpful hosts, location, scenic walking, sightseeing and food. Most memorable? All the sea kayaking around the stunning coast and getting close up to seals and sea birds which was only possible from being in kayaks and having top coaching from our guide who made us feel at ease in all conditions. (more)

Drinking rum and coke out of a coconut while swimming in beautiful sea waters at sunset, simply brilliant...Loved it. Been on many tours, the tour guide was good and it was lovely to travel in a manageable group size. (more)Really wonderful! It exceeded my expectations. The holiday was fantastic. The highlight of the trip was, without doubt, the three days we spent getting up close and personal with elephants. It was a truly magical experience, and a privilege to interact so closely with such noble and intelligent creatures. Unforgettable.

The beauty of the island, the hot sunshine, the incredible scenery, the balmy evenings drinking nightcaps by the sea, eating ice creams on the beach, the plentiful opportunities for swimming, the great company, the entertaining guides, the fun kayaking in crystal clear turquoise waters, the relaxation time - it was all wonderful! We had the most fabulous weather. The first place we stayed, Quinta dos Valedos, was a really great start to the holiday, as Marie-Jose and Sergei are French Portuguese, and introduced us to many culinary specialities of the region, including carob and arbutus berry schnapps! (more)
The Elephant Transit Camp in Udawalawe was a fantastic example of the care Sri Lankans take of their wildlife, allowing close up views of baby elephants both in the camp and later in the National Park where the elephants are eventually re-released.
