Australia holidays, tailor made
Memorable parts? There were two really memorable parts of the holiday: 1. The accommodation at Cape Otway. This is a fabulous place with great food and service. Lizzie and Shayne are so knowledgeable and passionate, it is really inspiring. We were surrounded by wildlife. We had breakfast with kangaroos grazing right in front of the window. We went on two dusk walks with Shayne, we got up close to koalas and tiger quolls, and fed sugar gliders. We wish we had stayed there longer and would... (more)Diane Bushell

Dominica nature holiday
Memorable parts? The whole two weeks was both memorable and exciting! The sheer beauty of Dominica with it's rainforests, mountains and rivers; the fantastic array of tropical flowers, the wonderful bird-life, and the feeling of being a traveller, not just a tourist. It felt as if we were in Paradise and somewhere completely different. The food was wonderful and the people friendly. I felt I had never eaten healthier - different freshly squeezed fruit juice everyday and everything freshly... (more)Jean Powell

Endangered wildcats tour in India
Memorable parts? The sightings of the Desert Cat and the Leopard were fantastic. Roopangarh Fort was spectacular. Tips? At this time of year (March/April), the middle of the day is too hot to be outside for long. January/February would probably be better for both heat and early morning/late evening safaris. As cat sightings are not guaranteed, it is good if you have another interest, eg birding / photography. Lots of travelling. Be prepared for several hours in the car - not a... (more)kate Wilson

Borneo tailor made tour on a shoestring
Excellent, well thought out itinerary. The most memorable parts were Travelling into the jungle to stay at Abai Jungle Lodge and the river cruises. We saw wild orangutans, snakes, big spiders, Proboscis monkeys and more all in our hotel. (more)Christopher Lewis
If we had to name a specific high I think it'd have to be the private river cruises that we went on from the Abai Jungle Lodge. They were each so magical, romantic and different - I can't describe how wonderful they made us feel. But in truth the trip was packed with moments like this - hearing a turtle breath, seeing pygmy elephants up close and wild!! (more)Rob Skinner
I enjoyed every aspect of my holiday. However, diving among turtles, in the beautiful turquoise waters of Lankayan Island, was definitely a particularly exciting and memorable moment...All the local people were delightful and could not do enough to help. Borneo is a very beautiful place and I hope to go back very soon. I would not hesitate in recommending this holiday. (more)Jenny Sanders

Borneo family holiday, tailor made
Memorable parts? There were lots of highlights but we particularly enjoyed seeing the elephants swimming across the river and also releasing turtle hatchlings back into the sea. We also loved Abai jungle lodge. Beautiful scenery and wonderful staff. Tips? Take a rain coat...... It does rain heavily sometimes and you are in open top boats. Take some binoculars. Make sure you wear trainers and cover up in the bat caves. It is an absolutely fascinating place but if you don’t like insects... (more)Andrea Gauntlett

Fantastic - the wildlife was amazing; watching elephants bathing in the river, snorkelling with turtles, scuba diving with sharks (small ones thankfully!), and the odd orangtan and probocis monkey! The people were extremely friendly and proud of their country. (more)Anna Davies
Making it to the top of Mount Kinabalu, spotting four wild orangutans and a huge croc on a Kinabatangan river cruise and Lankayan Island were the best. (more)Sue Cheung

Sri Lanka birding & cultural tour
This was the most fantastic holiday. I was not that keen on going, but my husband is a very keen birder and he really wanted to go. I am now so glad he persuaded me, and will definitely visit Sri Lanka again... (more)John Diley
This was a really excellent holiday. We had fun, we were stimulated, we were educated and we made good friends with our locals who showed us their country. We also feel that we had excellent value for money with two locals, a new vehicle, most meals, all entrance fees and other extras included for a very inexpensive daily rate. (more)Keith Pigdon
It was great and our guide, Jith, was an incredible birder, funny, and generous. The most memorable was the smiles of all the people in Sri Lanka whom we passed in our bird walks and the children who got all excited and waved and called to us (more)Gisela Meyn

Gujarat holidays, Asiatic Lions, Blackbuck & Wild Asses
Where to start! The lions, the leopard and her cub, the jungle cat kitten, or the magical sighting of wolves. The insight into Gujarati culture was also unforgettable and we were grateful to our driver, Mr Khuman Singh, for not only finding us so much wildlife but also introducing us to local people from all walks of life. (more)Gillian Brand
Fantastic, the mix of adventure with luxury was amazing and the team tried very hard to meet our wishes. It is said all too often how unique somewhere is or a trip is, but in 20 years of travel to India we have never been to such a mix of unique wildlife spots with wonderful palace and fort like accommodation. (more)Ed King
Most memorable? Perhaps the sightings of leopards and wolves as well as the Asiatic lions, wild asses and blackbuck promised. But also being just about the only Europeans in the area we felt a lot closer to the local population including the tribal people. (more)Lesley Prout
From £600 - £800 excluding flights
Wildlife and cultural tour to Ethiopia
While in Turmi, we were able to watch the Hamer festivity where the boy marks his passage from boy to adult by jumping the bulls. Not fixed, or touristy. For me, easily the highlight of the trip! (more)David Whetham
All very exciting: churches on Lake Tana & in Lalibela, the castle of Gondar, stelae in Axum + visiting the Karo, Dorze, Mursi tribes and witnessing the bull-jumping ceremony of the Hamer people. Very fascinating and worth the effort. (more)Wei Liu
Visiting the tribes was definitely the highlight for us. The experience of the drive as well as meeting & interacting with the different tribes was great and the driver/guide were very helpful. Without them it would not have been possible to have had the same experience. (more)Veerle Damen

Wildlife and culture holiday in Malaysia
Memorable parts? 1) Seeing our daughter & son-in-law in Perth WA. 2) The evening flight of bats from the Mulu Caves. 3) The friendliness of the Malay people. Tips? 1) It may be worth considering including an evening meal at the Batang Ai and I suspect this could be negotiated at a very reasonable price. We were in minority of guests without evening dinner included. This was at the Mulu resort and at other location in our itinerary there was the opportunity to eat at nearby restaurants. 2)... Costa Rica self drive holiday, natural history
Memorable parts? There were so many highlights - and part of the pleasure was the variety of different experiences as we travelled around; more like six short mini-holidays all packed together. The very best moment was kayaking in Tortuguero: just four of us and a guide exploring the rainforest by river at dawn. The cries of the howler monkeys echoed across the morning mist, and we got up close to crocodiles, turtles and incredible water birds. Priceless! Tips? Self-drive is... (more)Simon Andrewes

Zambia and Malawi tailor made safaris
Memorable parts? All days and trip were memorable, but above all watching elephants crossing the river 30 metres away from us having lunch in Old Mondoro. Tips? 1. I'd check the daily planning of the activities. Given the winter climate, the scheduling for the days was perhaps too relaxing, with a very long pause from 11.00/11.30 to 15.30/16.00 depending on the camp. 2. Definitely GO to Lower Zambesi: in any brochure or Web Sites is presented ad a second choise vs. South Luangwa,... (more)Vincenzo Bracciale
